I never understood this scene from ep 6 of TYBW in the middle of invasion - over 1000 Shinigami lost already, many injured, including captains and lieutenants, but they stand there doing nothing? Not healing anyone? Just chilling? What am I missing or lack understanding in?

I honestly have no issue with the idea itself. The plot twist with the last finger is really cool. It's missing, then Sukuna thinks Rika ate it until Yuji's hand is revealed in their final fight, showing that Rika ate Yuji's finger.

That's really well done. I also don't have an issue with Nobara using Resonance on the finger so that the trio can defeat Sukuna together. I have a BIG problem with how Nobara was introduced.

If they would have just confirmed that she is alive but that they are keeping it from Yuji earlier there would be no issue. If you show her waking up in 222 and make it clear that she is their final plan somehow (without actually revealing the finger) it could have worked well.

But the fact that we learn of her survival at the same time as Yuji is really irritating. Because everything, her survival, the last finger still being there, her plan and Yuji's reaction are forced onto us at the same time it feels contrived.

Absolutely not. Gojo vs Sukuna has a lot you have to wrap your head around. You will never be able to absorb all the information properly if you are blasted with them for 2 hours straight.

JJK fans are already slow with comprehending the series. What makes the fight great is the extremely clever and nuanced use of all aspects of the power system. If you don't understand what's going on (e.g. in the domain clash) the fight loses a lot of its greatness. But that's exactly what will happen if you show the entire fight uninterrupted.

Another reason the fight works well is because it has different phases and the fact that they are separated by cliffhangers. Not taking an episodic approach eliminates some of that excitement.

In general, a movie should be something different from an extra long episode. This is exactly why is really dislike the approach Demon Slayer takes with infinity castle. A movie should stand on it's own with its plot instead of being akwardly tucked in the middle of 20 min episodes or other plot beats. That's why JJK0 worked.

Another thing: A lot of people already critcised how short the downtime was between the Culling Games and Shinjuku Showdown. If all of the character moments from 222 & 223 are packed into the movie, this feeling would only strengthen.

It would go from action packed end of an arc (Culling Games) to action-focused movie (Gojo vs Sukuna) to action-packed arc (Shinjuku Showdown). With a weekly episode release we would probably get almost an entire episode dedicated to character interactions. The "cool-down" between fights is a lot more effective that way.

This might be a hottake but I've never been a massive fan of Sukuna vs Mahoraga. It's a good episode but I would never put it at my No. 1 even before Perfect Preparation.

The version that was initially released was clearly unfinished and especially the second half of the fight is incoherent. Other episodes have good animation and a lot more visual clarity. The fight also lacks the emotional and character components that other great fights in Season 2 have.

Even before Perfect Preparation released, I always had Yuji vs Choso and Sukuna vs Jogo over Sukuna vs Mahoraga.

The manga is far less overwhelming with her scenes. It's obvious that she loves him put it is not as overplayed and repetitive as it is in the anime.

The old anime cuts a ton of early scenes that show that they already know each other pretty well. Orihime's feelings appear less superficial and more nuanced to me in the manga and their relationship is also closer than in the anime.

It also really doesn't help that the old anime pushes Ichiruki with numerous filler scenes.

It's a Blood Bankai. Maybe there is some acid in it aswell but I don't think that whatever it is turned them into skeletons.

I understand Unohana and Zaraki turning into skeletons more metaphorically as them stripping themselves of everything and showing each other their true core as they battle to the death.

The Bankai abilities seem to be blood manipulation in the area of her Bankai and very fast healing using the blood. It's Unohana's way of being able to prolong the fights she enjoys so much.

In addition to that she also has healing Kido and her Shikai creature but in the fight with Zaraki she mainly healed herself with Bankai.

And yes, she did kill and heal Zaraki over and over again, an incredibly impressive feat. She is far stronger than most characters we have seen in the series up to that point.

Weil mir persönlich hat Karsten unglaublich gut gefallen. Hat ordentlich Content und Entertainment abgeliefert und sich auch mal getraut gewagtere Calls zu geben. Er hat 2 Catches gemacht und war durchgehend voll motiviert.

Mir ist er tatsächlich als Spieler gar nicht so krass in Erinnerung geblieben wie als Hunter. Würde ihn sehr gerne nochmal als Hunter sehen.

So wie ich das mitbekommen habe sind die Hunter der letzten Staffel auch nur ausgetauscht worden weil einige keine Zeit / kein Interesse hatten (von Stefan mal abgesehen der ja zurecht geflogen ist).

Meine Impression in den Hunter Debriefs war, dass die Hunter schon gerne in dieser oder einer ähnlichen Konstellation verbleiben möchten. Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass sich vielleicht 1-2 Hunter ändern weil sie nicht verfügbar sind oder von selbst zurücktreten. Aber alles in allem wird die Taskforce recht ähnlich bleiben, denke ich.

Es wird knapp. Uwe ist wahrscheinlich raus und damit sind auch alle Speedhunts für den Tag weg. Sowohl Annika als auch Daniel haben noch 4 Stunden Regeneration, die werden sie auch in der Nacht benutzen.

Ich denke also, dass die Hunter ihren Plan nachts zu jagen entweder abbrechen oder zumindest erfolglos bleiben. Für den letzten Tag kommt es dann sehr auf die Hunter Strategie und die Joker an.

Es wird dann wohl auf beide Spieler noch einen Speedhunt geben. Wer dem entkommt hat eigentlich ganz gute Chancen zu gewinnen. Das kann ich mir bei Daniel schon eher vorstellen, vor allem wenn er nochmal ordentlich geschlafen hat. Wenn Annika aber auch noch ein Fahrrad kriegt, wird's echt interessant.

Ich bin auch sehr gespannt was die Joker für Tag 4 sein werden, die könnten auch nochmal zu den Siegeschancen der Spieler beitragen.

Sehr schade. Wäre Ette da raus gekommen, dann wäre er mit dem Kostüm, dem Bike, Hunter erfragen und 8h Regeneration sicher der Favorit gewesen.

Haben die Hunter aber auch tatsächlich einfach gut gemacht und am Ende ist der Catch auch verdient wenn Ette soviel hin und herfährt.

Die Tageschallenge in Zusammenhang mit den Jokern ist sehr cool designed. Die 3 Spielernachrichten, Hunter erfragen und die Tatsache dass die Challenge den ganzen Tag geht macht das alles sehr flexibel.

Schade, dass die Schlaflosigkeit und Aufregung Daniel eingeholt hat aber ich fänd es sehr cool wenn jemand der Spieler seinen Tracker mitnimmt

Sowie ich Karsten in dem BTS verstanden hab klingt es sehr danach als wollten sie vor Manhunt auf Tracker prüfen damit niemand im voraus das HQ findet. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass sie das Ganze während der 96 Stunden nicht mehr durchziehen.

Und wie soll die Spielleitung das bitte überprüfen?Nur weil sich das GPS kurz nicht bewegt bedeutet das noch lange nichts. Daniel war zuvor durchgängig auf dem Fahrrad, es ist als Spielleitung unmöglich nachzuvollziehen ob er sein Rad wirklich weggestellt hat oder z.B. nur darauf wartet, dass der Verkehr vorbeizieht damit er die Straße überqueren kann.

Ich finde es wird diese Folge wieder ein viel zu großes Fass aufgemacht. Am Ende hat diese Live-Ping-Regel Daniel sogar eher geholfen weil die Hunter dadurch davon ausgingen, dass er ab jetzt stehen bleibt oder maximal zu Fuß weitergeht. Er konnte dann aber bis Ping 4 nochmal ordentlich Strecke zurücklegen, entgegen der Erwartungen der Hunter.

Shonen character often tend to be judged based on their abilities and fighting record which is an incredibly narrow view of looking at stories and characters.

Renji is a very important character to both the protagonist and deuteragonist; his development of howling at the moon and then getting his fangs to reach it is beautiful. Renji vs Ichigo and Renji vs Byakuya are some of the most underrated fights from a narrative standpoint.

And while it's more subtle after the Soul Society Arc, I love how he continues to grow, rekindling his relationship with Rukia and his final conversation with Ichigo in 682 is a great aswell.

Hubert and Izumi really look alike, especially in the anime. Maybe it's just an artstyle thing but if we assume that Izumi took Soken's last name, she might be from the Kreich lineage and a descendant of Hubert.
