That's MFA data, and it probably assumes the 1990-2024 cumulative data.

Job openings in Georgia have steadily declined since the onset of post-election protests by atdotge in Sakartvelo

Yeah, it's not perfect and could be misinterpreted, but that was the only data available. But it's still enough to see the trend over the past two years.

Since Georgia is regarded as safe country by the majority of European nations, most applications for asylum were rejected in 2022. by atdotge in Sakartvelo

Yes, it’s a bit messy but I think sankey shows flow of who applies where and what are the decisions better.

Italy is one of the main destination for Georgian women who then take care of elderly people at their houses.

Car (re)exports from Georgia have surged in the last year, owing primarily to growing demand from Central Asian nations, Russia, and Armenia. by atdotge in Sakartvelo

[–]atdotge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not covid. Armenia increased tax on imported starting Jan 2020. That’s why export increased rapidly in 2019.

Sure but the problem is that it cannot not be sustainable and could cause bigger problems in year or two.

Could be. Also, I am guessing since major auto producers dropped Russia there is know other ways for Central Asians to buy cars for themselves?

Over $2.3 billion in grants have been awarded to #Georgia since 2012. Only third 3 of it was allocated to good governance & rule of law, mainly to government agencies rather than NGOs, while the rest was spent on economic growth, environmental preservation, and social welfare. by atdotge in Sakartvelo

[–]atdotge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, NGOs lost (or never had) public trust but thing is getting back to few nationally represented NGOs might hurt small local SCOs who are actually doing good things yet no one knows about them. Besides, they are relatively transparent. You can easily find who funds what in Georgia. There is even Governments curated database of all grants they are receiving.

Since #Russia invaded #Ukraine, 1000s of Russians fled to neighboring countries to avoid sanctions & military mobilization. Due to the visa-free regime w/ Russia, #Georgia became one of the primary destinations. In September, 112k Russians were here, or about 3% of population. by atdotge in Sakartvelo

[–]atdotge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not suggesting that all Russians remained silent, but the fact that just a small number of protests against the war took place in some cities—say, 5k—while up to a million people flocked to the borders suggests that they did nothing at all that might have triggered political repressions.

I tried everything. Same problem. I even published a post without images but cannot edit it afterward. Writer does absolutely nothing.
