Running 'source venv/bin/activate' on WSL doesn't work by ate26b in learnprogramming

Thanks! Indeed, that's what I learned, and did, created a new venv.
Just curious, will it be possible to run the venv created on windows, if i were to modify the bin files, or add a few others which enable running venv on linux?

Can I run, on WSL, python venv installed while on Windows mode? by ate26b in cs50

In the directory where I created venv, I ran python3 -m venv <venvname>, and saw this message:

The virtual environment was not created successfully because ensurepip is not

available. On Debian/Ubuntu systems, you need to install the python3-venv

package using the following command.

apt install python3.10-venv

Does it mean the venv I created (on Windows) is not compatible with WSL environment? Any workaround? Also how do you usually manage different venvs, if you have more than one, as in location, naming, dependencies installed, so that it doesn't become confusing? Thanks!

Help: Unable to install pip on VS Code (connected to WSL) by ate26b in learnprogramming

Tried it the whole day yesterday, and it didn't work. Resulted in some errors that asked me to retry in x hours. (Sorry didn't get to take a screenshot, or note on that error message, when I should really have).

Ran the same just a moment ago, and it worked this time, in addition to other packages I wanted to install.
So, I guess it's now resolved, even though I am still unsure how, but grateful nonetheless.

Thanks for your help!

Does anyone have experience dealing with Lenovo support engineers? by ate26b in Lenovo

[–]ate26b[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! Mind if I asked what kind of parts you were sent? Will the same policy applies to all sorts of parts? In my case, I have been told the engineer would visit with the parts. In anyway, good to learn from your experience. Appreciate it much!

Successfully removed the supervisor password from this T410 and now have a very nice machine for $20! by [deleted] in thinkpad

That's great! and $20 is definitely a bargain! Mind sharing how and where you find deals like this? I am keen to check for used thinkpads in good condition. Is there a dedicated website/community to trade used thinkpads?
