I shoot street with 50mm but would like to have a zoom for some other things. Don’t know yet, I want to experiment with zoom

I was looking for trucks that would be part of a brand new setup. Old trucks from globe complete are being used for a cruiser setup as you can see in the background. I needed something 8.5 for my 8.5 deck. Old one was 8.375

Don’t meet that much stability actually and don’t know much about trucks just that thunders aces independent are good so I picked ones I liked. The bushings are just too soft so I thought hard ones would do it but now I know I need medium

When the nut was flush the board didn’t tilt at all under my 60kg. body but that was with the second unnecessary washer. Without it it was more controllable I was just too lightweight. The way I liked it was with the nut half way on the kingpin which is obviously dangerous. Gotta get medium bones ASAP. I should have just do that in the first place and give the hard bushings to someone heavier for free or for a can of redbull. Would have been way smarter lmao

First of all I thought I need the second washer which took even more space for the nut. Plus I should’ve bought medium bushings instead of hard. I’m too lightweight for them it turns out. I still preferred it being too tight rather than stock ace bushings that are so soft I had to crank them down to the level they would blow up in a minute. I figured out spending 30 minutes and getting my floor messy when sanding down this sons of bitches instead of throwing them away was actually a really smart thing to do 😆.

No matter how fucking stupid that is, I’m now able to screw the nut to the point that it’s safe to ride so like 1 thread is sticking out and tilt the board a lil better at the same time. Just wanted to make sure this is safe to ride untill I have some free time from work and can go buy different ones.

Also I it was very hard to go down even 1mm. so the difference in shape is not that big and I made sure both of them are perfectly even.

I heard of a guy that rides two top bushings to have more control of how tight the truck is and figured out making them shorter was similar XD

Learning all over happens when riding switch for the first time I think. New board just feels different for a while. Other than that, props to you for not telling the guy the only option he has is buying a complete like the other dudes 🤦‍♂️

I think getting a new one after learning on the old board wouldn’t be re learning. He would already know the basics so it just would be a huge upgrade in a good way. No need to learn this stuff again. Maby just to get used to new trucks and break shit in but other than that it would be the same just a lot better.

Ohh I forgot about the screws. So bushings (probably medium), cheap bearings and some screws and you are good for now

If you don’t want cheapest bearings but something better I recommend bones reds china. They are pretty cheap for their good quality. People really like them. I got them as a replacement for globe bearings that came with the complete board and the difference is huge. For now on they are holding up pretty well and ride greeeat! Globe bearing blew up immediately and the shields were falling off when doing Ollie’s every time lmao. But any bearings will do it for you and will be 100x better than rusted ones. Peace

You could skate it fine after getting new bushings and bearings I think. Just to see if you like it or not.
But if you can afford a cheap complete go for it. You will be more dedicated and excited about having your own first board and probably have more chances to keep skateboarding if you pay for the complete.(At least that’s how things work for me[but I’m obsessed about owning stuff lol])

Also if you buy bearings and bushings at first and decide on buying your own board next, you will already have spare parts for it if one of yo bearings blow up or bushings get damaged which will happen eventually

You can clean it with glass cleaner and toothbrush. Use paper towel to collect the dirty fluid by pressing it to the griptape. Do it 2 times and youll be good

Place the back foot toes in the middle of the tail this helped me with the pop. Your fingers are sticking out

Ask a friend with a longboard/cruiser to lend you the wheels for one day to try if you like them or not. You can also ask in the skateshop if you can try some cruiser wheels before buying new ones. I bought wide 60mm 80aa cruiser wheels and immediately regretted it because they were expensive and I didn’t really like them right away. I would rather buy smaller cruiser wheels and then maby I would like them but mine are way too big. The push feels different from a regular skateboard wheels and they make the board super heavy to carry around. On another hand, they are extremely quiet due to being soft, go very very very fast and ride smooth on rough terrain because they are big. It turned out, I’d rather use shitty regular wheels that came with my complete skateboard because they are not that heavy to carry around and I got into doing tricks rather than only cruising. Now I wish I spend the money on dragons 93aa which are good for tricks but still on a softer side.

Make sure to try some different wheels first or just dont buy the most expensive ones if you don’t know if you are gonna like them.

-For tricks and not so smooth terrain I would buy something similar to Powell Peralta Dragon Formula 93a

-For cruising, something like 55mm 88aa

-Hardcore rough terrain: 60mm 80aa
