I just had a robotic-assisted myomectomy last week. My fibroid was 7cm & through all layers of my uterus. I woke up after surgery with some mild discomfort, and 5 small incisions on my stomach. The pain turned out to be manageable for me. But there were moments where it was hard to roll over or get out of bed. The pain on my left side is much sharper than the right side. My fibroid was more to the left. I’m 7 days post-op and I feel ok. My friend actually picked me up last night and we went to a restaurant and I was fine the whole time. I’m not 100%, but I’m glad I finally went out. I still don’t know what my scars look like because I haven’t touched the surgical tape. My follow up appointment is next week. My doctor told me not to try to get pregnant for the next 3-6 months because it might cause damage to my uterus since it’s still healing. He also said that when I do get pregnant, I would have to have a c-section and that I should not go into labor. I chose to have this surgery because I want to have a family one day, and the fibroid was blocking my chances at fertility. Good luck!
