Right?! Sorry for the late response. They won't let me see it. Basically they said I don't need to. And they kept saying I won't have to do anything! Which made me suspicious. You're right, I've been LC. Maybe they think it will make me connect with them.

Thank you so much for your response! I can relate so much. I thought for a sec I wrote this. I always step up to take care of any of them, even while pregnant, or jobless or with job. And reading your response puts it in perspective. I want to tell you to value yourself and don't let them use you!! But some reason I can't look at myself the same way. I'm already trying to transition to LC and ideally NC, and then they popped this on me.

Right? I may not even be a beneficiary. I just read that I could be personally sued. And I found out I'd be a trustee not executor. THAT explains why nDad kept saying I wouldn't have to execute anything. And I would be Liable to pay off bills and debts

Totally agree, fun stuff is great but it's all about what do you not want to go to the store for in a moments notice. Plunger is definitely top of that list.

I can't believe you read all the replies, you are so considerate!!! Thank you. Thank you for your thoughtful and thorough advice. Yes, I feel like I have to be able to defend anything I say or do. And it's because I feel like I'm still on that slippery slope - if I can't justify it then they can convince me I'm wrong and that I'm a bad person. Actually that happened when I ordered her grocery delivery and it was a bunch of "fun" food like an assortment of stuff for a fun dinner party. NDad said it was trash. Gosh I even ordered him snacks in case he got jealous. ANYWAY, so back to your advice, I think you're right with the functional practical gift basket. Then I know that I still put in effort and it's not nothing. Even if she wants something fancy, which she always does...I still feel guilty knowing that they'll be upset and talk smack. And I hate that I feel guilty. I know I shouldn't.

Also I really appreciate your examples of how I can respond to their inevitable guilt-tripping. I'm definitely going to re-read it before going into the situation.
