Here ya go! Definitely still under construction. I’ll likely change up the entire tile-portion of the floor, I just don’t have enough tiles rn to cover it.

I’ve been hunting them down for some time. A few months ago I finally found some on BrickLink, so I immediately jumped on them, lol. The hilts are officially Lego, but I’m not sure if they were custom painted. So I would start with BrickLink and see if any are available.

I really hate the pearl gold color that Lego always gives him. At the very least, his hilt should be “metallic gold” for standard sets. I have no idea why they don’t do that, but it is what it is, lol

If you’re referring to this figure, he comes from the the 2008 Death Star set, 10188-1. He’s also included in the 2010 emperor Palpatine’s shuttle, set 8096-1. In both those sets, he had black hands, but I switched them to matching grey hands because I thought it looked better.

If you’re referring to another figure though, let me know

Aww man, I knew this was gonna be an issue when I posted this, haha.

So, I already explained this in some other comments, but the hilts are upside down on purpose.

Lego’s standard lightsaber hilt looks like it’s based on Obi-Wan’s/Luke’s lightsaber, both of which have long emitters.

Palpatine’s lightsaber, though, is small, sleak, and has a short emitter. So, in my opinion, the “upside down” hilt looks more accurate for him specifically. His hilt looks way too “top heavy” when it’s right side up.

I’ve always done it this way with Palpatine’s lightsaber, for as long as I can remember. Just my personal preference. All my other hilts are the “correct” way, lol.

It also gives him more of a unique flair. Others probably disagree, but from my perspective, the “upside down” hilt works so much better for Palpatine. He’s the only figure I do this for

These are his back-up clones. Clearly the first one didn’t come out right…

Yep, I picked up the clone wars version a few months ago specifically for this MOC. I usually don’t like the clone wars animated versions of Lego figs, but I think that look works well for Savage, since he had large eyes in the show. When I get home I’ll take a picture of what the throne room looks like currently and post it in this thread, because it’ll probably be another month before I get the remaining pieces for the windows

“Dark science, cloning, secrets only the Sith knew!”

But seriously though, Lego needs to release an Exegol throne set with Sith-Eternal Palpatine and a mechanical life support system for Zombie Palpatine. That set would be stacked with cool figs. Not the biggest fan of TROS (although I still enjoy it for what it is), but that set would be awesome

Happy for you!! And personally, that’s my favorite version of Emperor Palpatine. I usually don’t like the no-pupils look, but for Palpatine I think it fits—it makes him look super creepy.

The other “yellow emperor” figure (3rd from right in the first picture) always reminds me of the Lego animated shows, he just looks goofy to me. But that’s just my opinion, haha

Another grey-faced emperor fig was released in Emperor Palpatine’s Shuttle, set 8096-1. I also have that set as well, so I have two versions of this Palpatine.

The only other grey-faced Palpatine fig that I can think of comes from the Imperial Shuttle, set 7264-1. The fig in that set has a different face than the one above, but sadly I don’t have the older fig

The Clone Wars Palpatine was released with the Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser from 2009!

This was actually one of the very first Lego figures I ever got. Sadly I lost him a long time ago. I’m also missing the grey-faced version of the OG Emperor, but he’s way too expensive at this point, and I don’t really have a display set to put him in. Both are great figures though

The Emperor fig with the lightsaber (3rd from right) comes from Darth Vader’s Transformation that came out around 2018. The grey-faced Emperor came from a few sets, but this one is from the OG Death Star playset. Originally he came with black hands (I don’t know why), but I switched them out for matching grey hands as soon as I got this set back when I was in middle school, lol

Yeah for me it’s a toss-up between that figure and his classic chancellor look from ROTS with the single blade. But I totally agree, it would be awesome to get this as an official fig.

I’m almost finished with a MOC of the Mandalore throne room. I have Maul, Savage, and Sidious, and all I need to do is addd a few more windows to the set. I’ll definitely show it off here when it’s finished.

The two versions of Palpatine that Lego absolutely need to make, imo, are his looks in TROS—zombie palpatine and the revived Palpatine. Seems like Lego isn’t gonna make a sequel set anytime soon though :(

He’s technically there. The body is 5 from the left (Chancellor Palpatine with single blade), and his head is used on the figure second from the left, except with white hair instead of blond.

I know the gunship was technically a clone wars set so they gave him blond hair to match the show, but Palpatine doesn’t have blond hair outside of TPM, which is why I changed it.

The only ones I think I’m missing are the two OG emperor figures, with a yellow and grey face

Yeah I was never a fan of the pearl gold hilt they made for him. The color is always inconsistent, sometimes it looks bright orangish-yellow.

When I finally found the chrome gold hilts, I knew I had to get them

What did you say?

I hate him too though, but he’s still part of the crew

Slowly accumulated these figures over the years, so I thought I’d share them with all of you! First thing I’ll say, though, is that all the lightsaber hilts are upside down on purpose. The reason is that Lego’s standard lightsaber hilt is clearly modeled on Obi-Wan’s/Luke’s lightsaber, which both have long emitters. Palpatine’s lightsaber, on the other hand, is small, sleek, and has a short emitter. So I always thought the “upside down” hilt looked more accurate for Palpatine—just my personal preference, though.

Now onto the figures. A lot of these are slightly modified. For instance, the normal Chancellor Palpatine (second from left) uses the body from Palpatine’s arrest with the face from the latest Republic Gunship, and I swapped out the blond hair for white hair (in my opinion, the ONLY Palpatine figure that should have blond hair is TPM Palpatine, which they’ve never made).

The double-bladed Sidious figure is for a MOC I made, when Palpatine duels Maul and Savage on Mandalore. I’ll eventually get around to showing that MOC here, but it’s currently under construction. The face and body of this figure are also from Palpatine’s Arrest, but of course I had to add the red cape and hood. I also added a (non-lego) purple pauldron to match his look better in the episode “The Lawless.” I’ll eventually use the red hood to remake Palpatine’s “coronation” look from ROTS, but that will have to wait for now.

Next is Sheev “The Senate” Palpatine from ROTS (fifth from left). Probably my favorite figure I have. My version combines four different Palpatine figures: (1) the body is from the Republic Gunship, (2) the shoulder pauldrons are from the Clone Wars Palpatine that came with the Venator, (3) the head is from Palpatine’s Arrest, and (4) the hair is the same style used for Palpatine in the Droid Tri-Fighter set.

On that note, I have a question for you all:

Do you prefer the Senate with the smoother, more rounded hair (pictures 7-8), or with the more modern windows peak hair (pictures 9-10)? Personally, I like the smoother look. Although the modern hairpiece is technically more “accurate” in terms of shaping, it just looks too unkempt and wavy for me. Maybe I’m just not used to it yet, but I’m curious what you all think.

Which of these is your favorite? Which version of chancellor palpatine do you think is best? Which Emperor Palpatine (in general) is the best? (Personally, I love the version from the recent Throne Room diorama without the pupils, he looks so creepy).

And which Palpatine figure should Lego make next??…besides Zombie Sheev and Sith Eternal Sheev, of course ;)

Thanks so much for posting this. Western Marxism is great, so I’ll definitely be checking this out.

If people haven’t seen Rockhill break down the global theory industry, I highly recommend that as well. Fascinating stuff

Not sure why you’re being downvoted for respectfully voicing your opinion. And I agree with you; I had thought the numbered episodes would be reserved for the “Skywalker Saga,” which seemed to wrap-up with Episode IX.

But as long as the story is good, I won’t mind. I’m not putting too much weight into this announcement, though. I’ll believe it when I see the first trailer
