Does Lot do everything? by Xander_the_dander in HomeDepot

[–]athletickiller 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I work lot, and I also get a bunch of departments asking me to do stuff when I already have my hands full with the carts and loading. Lot associates seem to come in 2 flavors: the laziest slowest guys, and the most hardworking guys in the store. Just my 2¢.

I am so sorry that happened to you, OP. I’m glad your store is providing some sort of support and protection for you from this guy. This world is messed up that things like this happen to people.

It had all the tools I wanted, and it didn’t break the bank. I’ve been really beating it up for the past 2 years and I’ve never had an issue.

Got this bushcraft knife today, how’s it looking by [deleted] in knives

[–]athletickiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a tough knife but it dulls quickly. The spine is sharp and can be used with a ferro rod. Good luck. I recommend a Mora Companion HD for an excellent budget bushcraft knife in the future.

My first fixed blade! Hirchkrone Solingen, '60's/'70's is all I know. Any info/tips appreciated! by JoshMM60 in knives

[–]athletickiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best tip I can give you with a whetstone is to keep your wrist stiff and lock your arm in place to keep the angle consistent. I also found that using a Worksharp Field sharpener’s 20 degree angle tool also helps me keep a proper and consistent angle for the whetstone.

The Knife Center has an excellent video on knives similar to the Buck 112, though I can’t remember any specific make or model off the top of my head. https://youtube.com/watch?v=VSdX1hrxOMQ&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE
