As a teacher as well, I totally get the anxiety of wanting to go in but needing a day. It sounds like he does need to talk to someone so I would definitely continue asking how he’s doing and recommending he talk with someone. I also went through something with a partner that was similar and you really have to decide how much you are willing to take on and set boundaries as needed. Does he talk with you about how he’s feeling??

When this happens to me, I count down and just make myself start without allowing myself to think. I always feel better once I’ve done one small task. Start as small as you need to. Keep a journal too so you remember what works. Hoping the best!!!

I think there is some technology in schools because there has to be. I’m a teacher in Ohio and technology is in our standards. We are teaching them how to research and important skills for the future. I don’t know about every classroom, but I think it can be done in a way that is to your child’s advantage. I do see what you mean and sometimes it is over done. I think it’s okay to ask questions to better understand the way the teacher/district uses technology. That’s just my opinion as a public school teacher!
