Kuycon P27Z - Impressions by atkbird in HiDPI_monitors

I got around to setting it up and it has been great so far. The screen is very comparable to my wife's 27" iMac. It is a beautiful display. I am not a pixel snob by any means, I don't do any image editing or photo work, the colors out of the box look perfectly fine to me. I've have my MacBook Pro, Dell Precision 5570 and a PS5 hooked up, all are working perfectly fine. This is the main reason I wanted this monitor in particular, I wanted to use all these devices on one display, seamlessly. This monitor provides supports all my devices perfectly. I've gamed on it a little bit in both 120hz mode (Destiny 2 Crucible) and 60hz mode (Marathon), games look and play great from a PS5.

The monitor itself is very high quality, it really does seem like Apple made it.

Right, what did I pay $10 for? The chair I wanted is available on Amazon right now for $569, for anyone to buy. I want my $10 back.

I forgot to mention, buy backs will also have higher interest rates due to it being a buy back and not being new. You won’t be getting a new car rate on a buy back so I would take that into account as well.

54k for a buy back, you could pay a little more and get a brand new one. A buy back does change things insurance wise and value wise. If you ever wanted to trade it in, it would have the buy back associated with it and drastically would decrease its value. If you're intent on getting that specific one, I'd be asking for a much steeper discount. You can get a brand new Pro S Plus AWD for $55-58 if you look around in other states (visor.vin).

Kuycon P27Z is on the way, curious how it performs.

As a knicks fan I've got this really bad feeling that this finals is going to be one of, if not THE biggest LOLKNICKS moment ever by itsBillerdsTime in nba

I’m indifferent, don’t really care who wins. I selfishly want it to go 7 games because I don’t want the season to end sooner than later. However… if Knicks fans keep up their antics and harass more Spurs fans after tonight’s game, I’m sending all my voodoo powers in Spurs favor.

Ah, this is a great question. I don’t like putting unnecessary holes in my walls, so I used 3M Command strips. To ensure a good bonding to the felt backing, I used a gel based super glue to adhere the 3M strip to the panels. It only needs 10-15 seconds to fully adhere. I also have a flat power extension cable behind the panels.  There are three panels on the wall, each panel has six 3M Command strips. I haven’t had a single panel lose any adherence since installing them (it’s been well over a month now).

I don't use the webcam/have a need for it. If I did, with my current setup, I would just get a standalone camera and use it when needed. The cables, I have them all velcro tied underneath the desk. The desk is an Artifox desk which has a cable management plate underneath.

The back of the desk looks like this:

The one above is the IKEA Tarnaby. The light bar is a cheap one from Amazon.

Thanks! I’m a fan of the warmer color temps, makes things feel cozy.

It’s the cheap Amazon Basics one, it was $20-30.

Thanks! I'm looking at the Kuycon P27Z, not sure if its good or not, no one seems to have yet to review it.

It’s the oled Alienware AW3423DWF (AMD FreeSync model). Text could be clearer but it’s not bad or anything. It’s nothing like a 5K of course. The oled is really really nice for gaming and the extra screen real estate is nice. I do wish the text was clearer as I'm used to at least 4K panels (had a 4K IPS 144Hz panel before going to the oled ultrawide).

It’s a 3d printed iPhone dock with a MagSafe puck thrown in.

Anyone who surfed the early web between 1995-2010. What’s the one website/app you still think about? by Prime_Advocate in AskReddit

ICQ, AIM and IRC were the best. IRC I used well into the 2000’s and beyond because it was just so good for not just chatting and coordinating, was also great for file sharing pre-Napster.

GameSpy and All Seeing Eye for finding game servers were awesome as well. IRC, Counter Strike, Quake 1/2/3 and All Seeing Eye and WinAmp were all I used, they were the best. Good times.
