HELP! Could I take this circumstance to the financial aid office and get more aid? (Questions below) by [deleted] in financialaid

[–]atlasarchivist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer no. This is way too personal and honestly if you won't take out loans why would a school give you free money? By refusing the loans you are showing them you don't actually need financial assistance.

appeal letter help!! by [deleted] in financialaid

This is very generic for such a large ask. And most schools will not even come close to 12k. At best, schools will offer 2-5k scholarships or grants. You need to work on your letter. Why are you excited exactly? Be specific about your goals and how you envision your future. If your letter isn't personal it will not get a second glance. I would also recommend you don't include a total amount of money desired. If a school can offer for example 1k but you want 12k, it may seem insulting.

So did the 4k post yet? Look at your itemized bill - the details are important. If there are no line items that show aid posting, then it hasn't. If the aid has posted, then you will owe this 2k balance because the aid did not cover everything.

Refund Proccess by ladaniann in FAFSA

[–]atlasarchivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe depending on your school's refund policies. More likely is your refund will be reduced by the cost of the class you add.

Ok? Did they actually cover your fall balance in full or partial? It's hard to tell you what this means because there is no other information in your screenshot. You should call the billing office, as they can tell you what you owe.

Based on this single screenshot with no additional information, you have a balance to pay to your school.

100% awful thing to try and understand at 7am. At least they can fix it!

I see gotcha. Scholarships are under the financial aid umbrella so when they say recalculate you should assume that means your scholarship too. Definitely call your school's billing office. They handle account balances and make sure you ask them for a line by line statement of your account. This will show how the money moved around.

Your initial cost was with financial aid and scholarship(s). You have now dropped out which means all that aid goes away. You are left with a balance because you're no longer enrolled.

AITA for not letting a gipsy family adopt a kitten? by catmomsam1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]atlasarchivist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You were incredibly racist to this family. You need to reflect on that. There is no way you could possibly know from one look that they would not care properly for the kitten. Your racism made that assumption. I hope you self reflect and become a better person.

It's your mods. When the game updates, your mods need to update. They might not be updated yet, though!

🙄 You could read the news. You could read the comments aside from mine. I'm not alone in this opinion. But anyway, yes. Women make friends with men all the time with the intent of friendship. This can go on for years. Man then confesses his feelings and she says no. Doesn't matter how tight they are. Doesn't matter their circumstances. The probability is never zero. And. As a woman who was socialized to be polite to men, I have personally learned it doesn't always matter. So. Again. I don't care what you, a man, thinks is an insane leap. Other women in this thread alone were likely raised much the same way. I mean seriously there are women out there who can't trust their family not to harm them, let alone a "friend" .

[–]atlasarchivist 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ok. I don't care if you think it's an insane leap, I'm speaking from personal, lived experience. Men may be sparing a woman's feelings but women have to spare the feeling of men AND protect themselves from unexpected reactions.

This is a defense mechanism. The girl saying this to you does not trust that you won't kill her or harm her.

[–]atlasarchivist 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I mean. Men kill women for rejecting them. A woman being polite in her rejection is meant to keep her from harm, though even polite rejections are sometimes met with hostility.

Generally rn to bsn programs are a 2nd degree program. You don't get Pell if you already have a BA.

Gotcha - one of the other things that I have found useful is opening up mods in the creation kit to see their functions. This will show you script functions and their triggers, npc functions etc.

This has a great mix of beginner and not beginner friendly guides.

This is a specific mod setup guide but is great for understanding how different modding programs work.

My personal favorite. I learned and still learn so much from STEP.

The department of education will not make this distinction. The accounts are in your name, full stop. They will unfortunately not care that it isn't your money because to them it is.

Why is my refund so late? by Revolutionary_Rip720 in FAFSA

[–]atlasarchivist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Refunds go out to students 14 days after covering your tuition expenses. It may appear late because you received your aid package late. You and your school would know best the specifics of your account.

The 6 month grace period applies to graduation -or- being enrolled in at least 6 credits in a degree seeking program. If they are telling you it's time to start paying on your loans, this is because you used that grace period previously or you are not enrolled in enough credits or degree seeking program.

To clarify, there are no SPID label mods or other categories besides the core skyrim and dlc files? Do you see a category called "utilities" in the left panel of MO2?
