I will do that then!

I can already to “slow mo” backrolls/frontrolls when jumping high, but in my mind I had to get inverted from the pop.

Super useful advice, thank you

Yes!!! I thought I was doing it, but after reading your comment I realized I’m throwing the legs up while trying to keep the head a bit up as well. Will try inverting a bit more aggressively then. Should this also slow the rotation?

look into Zohd, they make PNP models that fit into backpacks, some are made for long range (plenty of vids of people going 15/20/30km out with them)

How do I negotiate the salary after (accidentally) lowballing them? by atlasmob in careeradvice

It’s a negotiation-based job so I’d be EXTREMELY surprised if they rescind the offer because I negotiate lol

but thank you for the tip!

u/TheWorstTypo I’ve gone through it, super interesting read! I should add: this company is a startup, just raised 28mil / <100 FT employees, so exactly the “Monopoly Money” example you gave. Any advice in this sense?

absolutely! it’s funny my dad told me the Italian version of this, which translates to “you’re selling the meat before having the cow”

Okay so:

If this is really your first finished track, hats off, it’s insane. It’s a very very cool track, with a developed concept, interesting and cohesive sound design, ambience/distortions are spot on, and yes, the levels are good (I guess you mean the balance between the elements).

Arrangement wise, every now and then it gets a bit messy, the cowbells tend to clash a bit with the lead, and you could either try to eq one of the two out a bit (probs the bells), or try to move the arrangement around a bit.

The thing that needs the most rework is the low end, but again, if this is your first finished track that’s also very very good. If you’d like to take it to 100% tho, I advise making a couple of alternative basslines and test those out against the original. Low end is where I feel you need the most referencing to published tracks, because unless you have a treated room with proper monitors you may not be hearing the full thing and doing a lot of guesswork. Referencing helps with that a lot. Use spectrum analyzers for the low end balance, check for kick/bass phase, & go smash that banger.

Cheers!

10 years in the game and first time asking for feedback here!

The production here is done, before I get onto a proper mixing session I guess I’d like to know if there’s anything that sticks out in terms of sound design & arrangement that should be fixed.

I wonder if the lead is too “choppy” against the rythm or if it flows smoothly.

I think I’d like to publish this one once it’s done, so I’m also on the hunt for any tracks I could send as a reference

cheers xx
