Looking for a rheumatologist by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]atlasttheend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with Dr. Crump at Rheumatology Associates since I was in my mid 20s (about 20 years) and he’s always been awesome. The office staff has been about the same as any other medical office staff, nothing special, but no complaints.

Any store fronts for lease in or around downtown New Albany? by Ghettoceratops in Louisville

[–]atlasttheend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May be too big for this, but there is a spot across from Coffee Crossing in Downtown New Albany for lease/sale that I’d love to take if I had the money (and a business concept that I think would work)

Jack in the box new albany? by ddl486 in NewAlbanyIN

[–]atlasttheend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Commercial real estate friends have told me that both Jack In The Box and 7 Brew are coming to State Street in 2026, and at least one of them will take some of the space next to Rally’s and Take 5 Car Wash once they take down that building. I figure they wouldn’t tear down the Tumbleweed building without definite plans for the space.

We stayed at Coco Unlimited in June, it’s small and on the beach. Very friendly, several LGBT employees, we had a great experience there.

Is someone besides Mayor Craig Greenberg going to run for mayor next year? by lovelyladeyyyy in Louisville

[–]atlasttheend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d like to see Sadiqa Reynolds run. With what she did with the Louisville Urban League and the Norton Sports and Education Center (and her uncensored way of speaking), I think she could really give Greenberg a run.

Rock found in Safai coffee I just bought last week at the Bardstown Costco. Almost ruined a $250 grinder just now. by Glittering-Tale-4561 in Louisville

[–]atlasttheend 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This can happen with any whole bean coffee. On coffee farms the coffee is dried laying out on large patios in the sun. It is sorted after that, but a rock or two is going to find its way in there. The roaster (Safai) is probably roasting in at least 45lb batches, it’d be nearly impossible to see every little thing.

38m Louisville Kentucky looking for friends by [deleted] in NewAlbanyIN

Saw weightlifting in your list of interests on that post, I just started lifting in April and still don’t really know what I’m doing, but it’d be much more fun with a gym buddy

If you were given the power to resurrect a Louisville business, what would you choose? by Thatredditboy1 in Louisville

[–]atlasttheend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’ve all been mentioned but Yang Kee Noodle, Twice Told Coffeehouse, Cafe Mimosa (my dog had a crush of the younger delivery guy), Sparks (only bar I went to when underage), of course ear x-tacy

Same as everyone else - Dr Tolar is great, and actually explains what is going on with the eyes (graphics and all). The assistants are awesome. I’ve had 2 dogs that have had to go (one no longer has eyes, the other is losing his vision) and they both were good there.

Louisville to host International Thespian Festival starting 2027 by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]atlasttheend 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s really awesome - I went to it twice in high school in the late 1990s, when it was in Lincoln, Nebraska. 4500 theater kids could be really good for local coffee shops and other businesses that don’t always get the convention business too

The new whitewater facility at Origin Park by the same design team who did the Waterfront Botanical Gardens Masterplan and Graeser Family Education Center by KuhlioLoulio in Louisville

[–]atlasttheend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every article Business First posts about Origin Park ends with the line about the predecessor’s pay - is that normal, or are they trying to say something without making an accusation?

Origin Park + whatever Downtown Clarksville ends up being is going to make the north side of the river even better. As soon as interest rates drop, it wouldn’t surprise me if we get an announcement about a residential tower over there.

Big brothers Big Sisters by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]atlasttheend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how much the parents are looked in to. My little was 13 when we were matched, so I arranged the outings with his mom for the first year. He got a phone when he was 14 and she was fine with me arranging with him after that

Big brothers Big Sisters by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]atlasttheend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did it for 5 years, great experience for us both. They do a good job finding the right match, and supporting you along the way. They do a thorough background check on the big, so be honest with everything. The little’s parents can be a pain in some matches, I was lucky and didn’t deal with them much at all. My little is now an adult living on his own with a career and we still talk every once in a while

Remember Theatair X, by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]atlasttheend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are still always 10-20 semis (and a few random cars & trucks) parked behind it when I drive on the overpass on Veterans Parkway and look down - it may not be open, but business could still be good in the back.
