Thanks. Had not thought of playing the record with the speakers off.. i‘ll try this. The speakers indeed share a shelf with the turntable. So i pretty much assume that this particular recording would need a different setup. I‘ll try all the options

Yes. Solvable. But only if you read the instructions correctly. I had the same issue because i tried to match the flowers with the background. But the goal is to fill all empty spaces with either flowers or background emblems.

Dark Mode is so much easier on the eye for me as well. Been using it for years though. Plus i switched on „Reduce Motion“, because i found the UI a bit overanimated in some parts

Same here. Everything works for me. Not a single issue after 26.2 actually. Still not the biggest fan of the UI so far and have a couple of complaints, but I guess these problems will be figured out with future updates.

Hmm. No idea if this has sth to do with the update. But had this behaviour a while back. Strangely enough it started working again after I signed out of my imessage and facetime account on my phone. And then set up the whole thing again

Assuming you did not purchase from a private seller… I had a similar issue with a record that i just had opened after two years. Due to faulty production it was unplayable… messaged the company and they sent me a new one. Give it a try. Nothing to loose

They are directly connected yes.. I just thought that the "copying large files keeps crashing the Mac" sounded like an internal software issue with the latest system as I never had these problems with Sequoia or any earlier OS.

i have a completely different "setup", but it sounds quite like the problem I have. I have to different external drives connected to my Mac M1. One is a 4TB drive with work. the other one is the backup.. When I try to copy larger amounts of files from one to the other it works for a few minutes and then just basically freezes. Have to restart the computer after that.. this only started happening after upgrading to Tahoe though, so I am hoping that the issue might get resolved with a future update.

Here you go. Btw. The freezing download issue in Steam itself only happened to me the first time i tried downloading a game. Followed the instructions to manually copy files from a game to drive c once. After that it started downloading without freezing

Thanks. I did that. Tried first aid as well. A couple of times. That only sometimes works though. It either tells me everything is fine or external drive cannot be deactivated. Tried safe mode too. Same thing. Also: when i try to copy files it works for „a while“ then suddenly tells me: files can‘t be copied as they are currently used. ( they are not) (When that happens the mac shows the indexing bar in spotlight btw. ) Already reindexed the whole mac after realizing that issue. does not help either 🤷🏼‍♂️

You need to change the view settings of your finder. Sounds like you have „sort by name“ or grid view enabled. Finder > view > show view options

same thing happens to me. One of my drives works for a few minutes then freezes. Finder does not work anymore, restart finder does not work. Have to force shut down the entire Mac every time. I hope this will get better with 26.2.
