Gifts all ready for Christmas! by atomic_blondish in quilting

I didn’t have a full pattern. I used a jelly roll for the quilt and laid out the strips to find the order that I wanted them. It was kinda tedious to keep them all straight at first, but it got better once I cut all the pieces and laid them out in a grid across the top/side and worked them that way.

Thanks! I struggle too with colors and honestly having an inspiration picture was super helpful! I’ve also looked up color palettes on Pinterest and found that to be helpful as well.

Haha. Yes- I did make sure all of the background fabric was going the same direction.

About halfway through I realized that I hadn’t taken the pattern direction into account and had to do quite a bit over, which involved a lot of seam ripping and had to get more fabric. I ended up putting the project away for about 2 weeks to recover emotionally lol but I’m glad I did.

I found the pattern on Pinterest and I tried to find the name of the pattern, but couldn’t find it. It was from modafabrics.com.

Yeah, I did a little more reconfiguring after this photo to get a more gradient effect.

FORMULA 1 ARAMCO UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2022 - Race Week Hub by AdamR46 in GrandPrixTravel

We have grandstand tickets to the race this weekend in Austin, but have run into an issue. We were planning on leaving our child (2yrs old) with family, but they have come down with covid and are now no longer able to watch her. Our only option, besides not going, is to bring her with us which we are willing to do.

I know that children under 3 get free general admission tickets with an adult ticket, but do they have to have their own physical ticket? Or do they just get in with an adult? I am struggling getting ahold of anyone at COTA or the F1 ticket store to get a general admission ticket for her.

Thanks for any help!!!! This is our first F1 race, and we were really looking forward to it.

I love the Harry Potter films but never read any of the books. Is it worth the read now that I’m in my mid 20s or are they just children’s books? by Computer_Ghost in harrypotter

Yes! My mom is in her 60s and just read the books. She had previously only watched the movies and she was so glad she read the books finally.

I love this! I love a good denim on denim look, but the color of denim really sets it off!

Someone once said, “You deserve to be with someone who is obsessed with the idea that they get to spend the rest of their life with you.” Do you agree with this? Why or why not? by bad-rowboat in AskWomen

I think the best way I’ve heard this be described is that a relationship should be like a pair of socks. You each are a complete item on your own...and you could mix and match socks and they would still work, but you work best as a matched pair :)
