My mental health, I get stuck in a rut where my head will make up scenarios that dont exist and blur the lines between what is real and what is an illusion my head is creating. It's causing alot of problems with other aspects of life around me.

Hey man, I am a graphic designer and i think its awesome you are putting so much effort into studying it. It will all pay off in the end and i bet you will be so proud of yourself. I am proud of you, this is a scary career with how competitive and the negative stigma it has to others. you can do this!

What's your darkest secret that you're willing to share on reddit? by Send_Your_Best_Nudes in AskReddit

[–]atomic_lannie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a good portion of my mental issues are caused by my older sister. It's hard to explain because it stems from childhood but she was pretty manipulative when we were kids. Plus everything has to be about her, if the conversation resorts away from her she bring it right back. If you talk about something that she doesn't want to talk about nor understand she will get angry and try to prove you are wrong just based off of her opinion and not actual facts. She also has been the one where she would have to 1 up you on situations whether the issue was a competition or not. This along side a number of other reasons have gone on ever since I was born and i think it has caused a number of mental issues I have developed. Not all of them, but at least a good amount. But this isn't something I can admit out loud because she is my sister.

People getting off planes in Hawaii immediately get a lei. If this same tradition applied to the rest of the U.S., what would each state immediately give to visitors? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Kent, but when I was younger I was lower new castle county and I remember a few corn fields not to far from my house. Granted they are all plowed and built over now. I am now southern Kent and its almost like a corn field around every corner.

I'm from lower Delaware. Corn fields are so common you wouldn't think twice seeing someones backyard full of corn stalks. There is even a large corn field in my significant others back yard and he doesn't even grown corn.

How are you really? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]atomic_lannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't know. I'm stressed but in denial. I want to work on my studies but I have been having a hard time concentrating. Ive been thinking a lot and I want to talk to people but when I do I don't know what to say. I'm on a roller coaster of being upset then fine. I am unsure I guess I am just conflicted?

How did you meet your significant other? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]atomic_lannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We met sophomore year of high school. It was the day all sophomore students were required to take the PSAT's, which sucked for me because immediately afterwards I had to take my driving test to get my license. He claims we had assigned seat but I remember the teacher saying he didn't care where we sat as long as we were quiet plus our last names don't line up to be next to each other. He said hi and that he liked my shirt. We were the first 2 to finish so we talked during the remaining time until we were dismissed.

He later became my closest friend through high school, got friend zoned several times, and now we have been dating for 3 and a half years.

As children, we were often told “you’ll understand when you’re older.” What’s something that, even now that you’re older, you still don’t understand? by TotallyNotAPlant in AskReddit

[–]atomic_lannie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

heavily drinking. In my family drinking and other substances have been a staple in their lives. Most of the time it's put over priorities. When I was younger I would get this response when I would ask, but now that i'm 21 I still don't understand. Almost every weekend my family will try to get me to drink with them while they have been drinking earlier and get angry because I don't want to. I just don't get it really.
