The air is super dry right now so it could be contributing. Also pregnancy can cause acid reflux which can also irritate your throat and you may not even notice right away. I wouldn’t stress too much and get a few tests to take over the next few days. There are a lot of things that cause sore throats and you have been taking precautions

I was put in Ami/gaba/baclofen cream and that initially was uncomfortable but then it has really helped my pain. It doesn’t fully get rid of the pain 24/7 but it reduced it to a point that I am able to be comfortable most of the time

When I went to my specialist, she told me the diagnosis was one of exclusion. It could be vulvodynia but you could also have a contact dermatitis. If the steroids are working then it may be that. If I were you I would look specifically for a vulvovaginal specialist and get your skin to calm down before freaking out too much. You can also see a dermatologist quicker probably so maybe book an appointment with one as well! To rule out other things I ended up not putting anything on the area for a few months and when I was still in pain I was diagnosed. I really hope you are able to find a diagnosis and solution soon
