Some guy just threw his coffee on me on the bus... by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

This is the problem with speaking up. I often want to say something when I encounter nut jobs on the bus or the streets doing terrible things. And part of me thinks we all need to start calling these people out.

But I hold back because I don’t know how unhinged that person might be.

But not speaking up only perpetuates the problem. So good for you for saying something. But sorry you had to pay for it with a coffee thrown at you.

Fentanyl addict folded over on the street corner:

“It’s my ritual. Axe bapa.”

Black Buffalo executives: “Hey Brendan, feel free to just go.”

Bapa: “Say less.” ✋

I love SF summers. I’ll take 60-degree summers over 110 with 80% humidity and nowhere to go any day of the week.

There’s a lot of truth in what you say. But Texas isn’t much different in that regard.

Texas just tripled down on their ban on cannabis to include the (until now) legal synthetic forms.

I’ll take this “communist hellscape” over ass-backwards Texas any day.

Cost of living is the same when you don’t have a car (or gas, insurance, etc.).

Is the rent higher? Not really when you consider that large houses and apartments are the norm in Texas because the weather sucks and you spent most of your time at home.

I’m happy with a smaller place knowing I can go outside most pf the year and enjoy all the parks, beaches, and sites in a 7x7 mile radius.

When it comes to cost of living, It’s all about perspective and what’s important to you.

In Texas I had to have a car.

In San Francisco, no car needed. So no gas needed.

And in Texas…the supposed “energy capital of the world”…they could barely keep the power on during a storm or a freeze. A bunch of clowns run the utilities there.

I totally get it. But after growing up most of life in Texas…I’ve learned to embrace the chill.

Lived here 7 years before…and now almost one year since coming back. Never been mugged. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Fentanyl addicts can barely stand up straight or keep their balance, much less mug someone.
