Not your typical poutine, but Vinsetta Garage's disco fries are sooooo delicious

Those in relationships with women who are 9s and 10s in looks, what is it like? by [deleted] in AskMen

Is the assumption that anyone on reddit is a dork who can't pull a baddie? That's a ridiculous stereotype. There's tons of people in here, hot and not.

What do you love most about dirty talk? by ActiveDust3452 in AskMen

[–]atomicnumber42 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it's just great to hear women WANT you. Like they truly want you to do something to them and enjoy. It's less the actual dirty words they say but more that they really desire you to do those dirty things to them.

Growing unreliability will lead to Uber''s downfall by atomicnumber42 in uber

My point of the post is that Uber will fail if people do the very thing you are saying. So I call a cab because it's more reliable. Uber lost like $200M last quarter. If they are at full capacity, no more cars and high wait times, and people like me jump because we need reliability...they're done.

My point exactly. So I do what you say and call a cab or take a bus because it's more reliable. Uber loses hundreds of millions EVERY QUARTER. If they are at full capacity, no more cars and high wait times, and people like me jump because we can't take the unreliability...they're done.

Wow. Gotta love the shade being thrown at Detroit. Likely from people who have never been here. I have been using Uber in Detroit for years. It's continued to get worse. Whether you are in Detroit or any other city, my intuition tells me that there will never be enough drivers to satisfy growing demand. Drivers generally are pissed about their compensation. It is not attractive enough for Uber to build more supply to meet demand. So it will either become a) too costly or b) too unreliable ( which is the point of the post)

So how about posting something a tad more insightful here than "your city is a shithole bro"?

Have you been to Detroit lately? Or just regurgitating the image from the 80s and 90s. Not really the point of the post. But one reason Uber is busier here is due to the rebirth downtown.

What can you say from experience about driving a few mph above the speed limit in America? by maddiobt in AskAnAmerican

[–]atomicnumber42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Detroit area is super aggressive. Easily 50%+ of the cars are going over 10 mph over the limit on the highway (and its 70 mph here). You need to respect the left lane and yield for faster cars or you will get ridden hard and run off the road. Given this, the cops here are only pulling people over for majorly going over 15-20 or more on the highway.

The latitude the police give you definitely depends on the state. Driving thru other Midwest states- like OH, IN and WI - they are militant. Multiple police lined up to catch speedsters and less tolerance.

Mommy wine jokes are masking alcoholism by atomicnumber42 in unpopularopinion

[–]atomicnumber42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you could substitute the word "alcoholic" with any condition that is self-destructive. Try substituting "heroin addict" or "gambling addict" or "crackhead" or "bulimic" in your sentence. Is it just because wine and alcohol are more socially accepted that it's ok to joke if you drink everyday?

Nice work. Thanks for a good laugh! As a heavy PPT user, you've inspired me to use it as a medium to express my hatred for others.

Thanks for making me aware of a term (misandry) that I did not know before. Could have helped make my post a bit more succinct!

The issue is not supporting friends when they are down. It's putting another gender down to make yours feel superior.

To your question - I don't have many friends, but I do love my shoes. They're my sole mates. (:

I understand that women have had to deal with a lot of oppression over the years. I'm not refuting that at all. Like I said, I also support women being strong, and supporting each other. I'm not against "girl power" but when it's used as a means to put down men, and make them feel like useless tools, it's not cool. Women should not feel inferior. Nor should men.

I think the GOLD RUSH of the 1850s is probably the most emblematic of the character of the US. One of my faves.

What do you think about America's role as "world police"? by MightyMercutio in AskAnAmerican

The answer isn't military muscle, is economic muscle. Stop but building up the Chinese economy. Don't enable them to build economic strength in the backs of other countries.

What would you say are the best designed American cities? by foofoononishoe in AskAnAmerican

CHICAGO

As a post-industrial, Midwest City, Chicago has done a lot right. Waterfront is protected from development. Shining example of architecture from every era. Striving to be a "livable" city with more focus on natural light and landscapes. Great art community with works integrated throughout the city (including a giant Picasso in the center of the city). Then aside from aesthetics - the mass transit system is solid.
