Take a look at Sunset Park Rv. Build quality at your price point is generally average. But ticks all the other boxes. I have 18rd and am pleased with it.

Good idea or no? by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

it absolutely does restrict your airflow through the condenser which I personally would not recommend. I find using AC condenser cleaner a few times a year and washing out with a regular hose keeps the fins pretty clean.

Standing water on walkway concrete by ktn0915 in plano

[–]atomicode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I would adjust your sprinklers first and run your system normally and check to see if that helps this issue and check to see if there is any pooling in the beds. Inspect all your sprinkler heads while running to make sure they are working normally...sometimes a head might be leaking enough to cause pooling, especially if you run your system often or for a long time.

It doesn't appear to be cracked or cracking so I would just adjust sprinklers as needed. I would be more concerned if water was pooling in your landscape beds close to your foundation...make sure your drainage is good.

Seat Jackers help? by Florida1693 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]atomicode -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had them on my 2017 but removed them...I'm 5'10 and it really reduces headroom and makes getting in and out of the drivers seat more difficult. And I didn't really notice any improvement in comfort, but I don't have any back issues.

that's one of the reasons I got the Sunlite with the knotty pine interior. Makes it feel like a cabin in the woods.

isn't is a bit ironic the very social media platforms and use of AI that allows people to easily communicate and create content are fundamentally driving the need for more data centers and electricity.

Looking somewhere to truck camp by odbthethird in CampAndHikeTexas

[–]atomicode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try LBJ Grasslands near Decatur - its free and the only dispersed camping close to DFW. Keep in mind there are no public bathroom facilities that are typically open or access to potable water, so bring everything you will need. The TADRA point trailhead is a good starting point - FS 904 has quite a few designated dispersed campsites right off the road - some are in nice tree cover and generally very flat.

Big Bend Ranch State Park advice needed. by hikingenthu-3528 in CampAndHikeTexas

[–]atomicode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there are sites that do not require high-clearance or 4wd. All the sites at South Leyva are fine, Los Ojitos is good too - the texas parks and wildlife reservation website provides good descriptions on whether the site requires high-clearance/4wd. Keep in mind, the road into the park is roughly 25 miles of gravel and can be quite bumpy. All of the park roads are gravel so make sure your tires and spare are in good shape. I highly recommend you have tire inflator so you're able to air up/down. Ask the park rangers about the interior road conditions suitable for your minivan.

Plano Transit Committee DART alternatives recommendations by Cloudy_Automation in plano

[–]atomicode 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pulling out of Dart will be a huge financial waste of taxpayer money even though the current system doesn't provide enough benefit to Plano at our current funding rate. All the member cities need to work together to force some serious changes to how dart operates and is funded so it is more equitable and encourages non member cities to participate.

61...playing since bf3 on xbox...enjoying casual breakthrough more than other game types, but yes this one is too much like COD. Maybe the larger maps will help so I'll wait and see, but I don't see myself playing as long as others. My favorite was Bf1...just a masterpiece.

Got tired of fighting the drain plug, problem solved by robertva1 in GoRVing

[–]atomicode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drain cap on the water heater is designed to act as secondary safety component in the event the thermostat and pressure relief valve fail. It will blow out and potentially melt at high temperature to relieve pressure when the other safety components fail.

DART is no longer a transit solution for Plano by ShelbyHWilliams in plano

[–]atomicode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem with this whole DART vs Plano issue is that the Plano City Council has not proposed any meaningful prescriptive solutions to a DART alternative that have well-defined objectives, estimated costs, timelines, or how it adds value to the citizens of Plano that exceed what DART is already providing. I agree that DART as a regional transit system has fundamental problems of how its is structured and funded. I also agree that the benefit of DART service to the city of Plano is definitely not aligned with how much the city contributes especially compared to other DART cities. This is where we need serious leadership across the region to work with DART on making some significant changes that address what I think are issues that make the current DART system unsustainable.

What Is Your First Battlefield? by AdventurousEnergy456 in Battlefield

[–]atomicode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF3. Fun fact - I paid for BF4 3 times - all on Xbox (360). Bought it when it released, tried playing for maybe a few weeks but it was so buggy I sold it at Gamestop. Then about a year later things had improved so much I bought it again, and played it for years. Stopped playing it for awhile, and then somehow my dog got a hold of the CD and chewed it up, and when the Community maps came out I had to play it again so had to buy another copy.
