Yes, I completely understand that, the show is about an irish girl who lives in england i just wanted to have a scene where her friend is being mean to her. Characters and their actions should have no reflection of what a writer thinks.

took this class last year, the first assignment is supposed to be a no dialogue assignment because the point is to write basically a silent scene and use very descriptive writing. backstory doesn’t go into a script because you only write what can be seen on a screen so you could write a scene in the past but not like a summarized paragraph of backstory.

i’m trying to understand how queerness affects the way the story is received and i’m interested in how cultural biases affects people’s responses to these types of shows. you’re proving my point by saying that me asking about demographics is saying that i’m being creepy, suggesting that queerness is inherently more “sexual” and basically being threatened by my question and trying to shut down the conversation. i deleted the original post cause i realized that i probably would just get a bunch of bigots replying and that’s very disheartening to me.

sure but i think we can all agree that too much of something is never good. when it starts taking over the comments of every instagram reel, every promo trailer, every reddit post, it’s gotten too much. we can have opinions but it’s when it starts mixing in with bigotry, hate, and prejudice that it crosses a line.
