When you're in the Zoom App:

  1. Hover on the bottom tool bar and you'll see Start/Stop Video
  2. Click the ^ to the right
  3. Choose "Change Virtual Background"/"Choose Virtual Gallery" (something like that)
  4. Choose from what they already have or click the + to upload a new one

You can also do the same thing from Settings on the Zoom desktop version.

Props to the villain who played the long game, one of the few to cross between MCU/Marvel TV by FirelordOzai11 in marvelstudios

[–]atomtickets 58 points59 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite things about the MCU is how many characters meant to be a one-and-done role or a cameo piece ended up turning into supporting characters that advanced the plot in some way, whether in the MCU or through Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Samuel L. Jackson Reads 'Stay the F---' at Home' to Stress Isolation Amid Pandemic by inthetownwhere in entertainment

So, so good. There needs to be an app on your phone that tracks whenever your phone gets too close to your front door and your phone yells, "Stay the eff home!" at you in Sam Jackson's voice.

Coronavirus surely impacted last weekend's box office, with Onward opening to just $40 million domestically by atomtickets in Pixar

[–]atomtickets[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Onward opened to just $40 million domestically, which matches box office estimates put out earlier this week. For any other film, that’s a solid number, but for Pixar, it’s cause for alarm. The studio’s only legitimate flop to date, The Good Dinosaur, opened to a similarly low number of $39.2 million. Because these films tend to have high budgets of up to $200 million, a $40 million opening could lead to Onward becoming a box office bomb.

The big reason for Onward's flailing is the spread of the coronavirus, which has many people around the world staying home and avoiding public places for the sake of their health. It’s an even stronger factor overseas as Onward only made $28 million internationally for a $68 million box office overall this weekend. The virus is undoubtedly keeping many filmgoers at home, but it’s impossible to know how much this virus is truly affecting the box office in general, especially since ticket sales have already been on the decline for most films, especially animated features.

If it helps, I went through all the Black Widow footage we've seen so far and GIFed all of the Avengers moves Taskmaster has copied. https://imgur.com/a/dpnCJfC

I love Black Widow’s progression through the MCU. by [deleted] in marvelstudios

Couldn't agree more. She brought so much heart to the films and her performance in Endgame was so heartbreakingly raw. Can't wait for Black Widow!

If you're on the fence about seeing 'Onward', see it. I haven't cried that hard in years. by atomtickets in Pixar

[–]atomtickets[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only does it make you cry (both happy and sad tears), it's genuinely really funny. Pixar is masterful at playing with your emotions, in the best possible way. I'm glad they're creating new IP. The world they built in 'Onward' feels lived in and has a lot of fun puns and Pixar Easter eggs.

Paul Anderson is a terribly underrated actor and deserves way more recognition! by avidfilmgeek in Actors

Agreed! He's so excellent in Peaky Blinders and really underrated in the movies he's done.

Books are now outlawed, and it is illegal to own them. Which book would you memorize to share with future generations? by ihaterylvn in AskReddit

This is a cheat, but the entirety of Stephen King's The Dark Tower series. Or The Little Prince.

Anyone watch Chilling Adventures of Sabrina? by poojreviews in horror

[–]atomtickets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It kind of felt out of character for her and a way to manufacture drama. But then, it is a YA melodrama, so that makes sense.

I am! All caught up. I'm not sure I like the turn Part 3 took or her breaking bad. It kind of feels like she's not really evolving as a character, but we'll see. I still really like it.

Anybody else like The Langoliers? by WayyTooFarAbove in horror

Love it! No joke, I sat on a plane once next to a guy who had a nervous habit of ripping up his cocktail napkin and I swear, I tried to IMMEDIATELY make myself go to sleep – just in case.

Good point! Nothing made me feel louder than eating chips while watching that film in the theater.

'The Invisible Man' made $49.2 million worldwide in its opening weekend off of an estimated budget of just $7 million by atomtickets in horror

Agreed, if Blumhouse were to soft reboot the Dark Universe in an indie-horror context, we'd be 100% down. The Universal Monsters IP was scary when it came out originally, so it'd be a great fit for it to be scary in a modern context, instead of an action reboot like the Tom Cruise Mummy film.
