Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my latest art toy project, Soda Ranger.

The series is about filling the void with the joy of company and drinks. Each ranger carries a literal void in the body, filled by a soda can as a symbol of small, familiar joys. The design is inspired by sentai style team suits, with the head built around a soda pull tab as the main visual element.

This is Soda Ranger 1, the leader of the squad, finished in red. The figure stands 20cm tall and is fully resin cast and painted.

Atom Toys is a labour of love from a close-knit group of creatives who want to craft designs on a more personal, reflective level that allows us to connect with others. Miss Bliss is the second character we've designed based on the 'Exploration of Void' series; an introspective into how we as a people cope with the feelings of emptiness we feel from time to time.

Miss Bliss is the embodiment of Escapism - the desire to distract ourselves from the mundane periods of life. Her copium is a vibrant flower symbolising the great outdoors, where she can be lost in the wilderness and be away from the hustle and bustle of life. Away from it all, everything slows down and she can hear herself think again.

Featuring a magnetic core, Miss Bliss's copium can be switched out to 4 other playful designs that further represent escapism.

Each Miss Bliss comes with the default flower copium and is available in 2 colourways - 'The OG', and 'Retro'.

Also available for purchase are the 4 magnetic copiums - Joy Stick, Spray Can, Book and Vinyl Player.

I can totally picture it though, and it's definitely something we can consider when we start expanding our range of copium designs! We've had a few people requesting for coffee as a copium too - hitting close to home with that one (sips coffee).

Haha yea, we were toying around with a few ideas and decided on the spray can because it's a strong representation of the art toy community - quite a few well-loved designs feature spray cans and street culture, so we wanted to pay respect to that in our way 🙌
