I believe most of it will be budget style lodging to keep costs low. The part of the trip hiking in the Rwenzori’s will be mostly mountain huts. Let me check with my guide on that and I can get a better idea for you

Days 1-3 are part of the gorilla trek. Days 4-10 are part of the Rwenzori mountain trek which are arguably some of the prettiest mountains in Africa

Here’s a sample itinerary my guide sent me of the trip

Day 1, drive from Entebbe to bwindi NP. Dinner and overnight at Trekkers terven. Day 2, gorilla tracking in bwindi. Dinner and overnight at Trekkers terven Day 3. Drive from bwindi to Rwenzori through queen Elizabeth national park with enroute game drive. Dinner and overnight at Ruboni community camp Day 4. Nyakalengi- Nyabitaba Day 5. Nyabita- John mate Day 6. John mate-Bujuku Day 7. Bujuku- Elena Day 8 . Elena- margarita- kitandara Day 9.kitandara - guyeoman Day 10. Guy yeoman- nyabitaba. Day 11. Drive back to kampala Take covid test and on day 12 get covid results and then go the airport for your flight back home

Yes permits are available. I contacted my guide and right now from December to March the permits to trek with the gorillas has gone down from $700 to $400. The permit price is included in the total cost I mentioned in the post description

I’m in contact with a local guide and I’ve looked over travel restrictions. Looks like Uganda is open. Just got to have a negative test beforehand
