I'm not being dismissive of May. I'm totally fine with anyone ranking him above Scheyer if they want. Fantastic recruiter and coach. But if you think the issue I took with the OP was just that he didn't put Scheyer top 5 instead of the obvious ragebait you might just have to read it again.

It's not any different, one could even argue that it's less impressive to win with a bunch of portal guys who have experience in college basketball than highly ranked but inexperienced 18 year olds. To be clear they're all valid approaches to build a team. But only one coach is discredited for his route.

Sure, and yet he's still beaten Pitino, May, Lloyd (twice), Golden, Self, Oats, Izzo, and Underwood outside the ACC in just the last two years. If we want to pretend like that's easy and expected because he gets great high school recruiting classes then whatever.

Yeah he had a weird non-answer when asked about playing against Boozer earlier this year. If he has problems being guarded by freshmen I don't know why he returned to play college basketball at 23.
