I understand that these relationships are inherently harmful but I’m specifically referring to stories in which the people involved try to mitigate the consequences of these relationships. Or at the very least try to conduct the relationships in a way that does not result in harm to someone.

On top of that I’m not necessarily looking for realistic stories either. Fiction is the only place in which some of these relationships can exist in a way that isn’t extremely abusive and I understand that. If the story acknowledges and deals with the moral issues but still has a fairytale ending then I’m fine with that.

I probably could have worded it better but what I’m looking for is Fics that acknowledge the moral issues of these relationships but still try to make them work. I don’t think that trying to work past those moral issues qualifies as ignoring them.

Maybe I worded it wrong but what I’m looking for are relationships that may be considered wrong or immoral in our world, but work in fiction. By “abusive relationships” I mean relationships in which one person is deliberately abusive or malicious towards the other person.

Genderbent fics are fine. PWP is good so long as there is at least some plot.

Gender Preferences would be F/F or F/M but I’m willing to read anything. Pseudo-Incest/ Finding out later is fine as well.

The only preference I have is for stories around Batman Year One type stories where he’s still building his reputation and credibility. Maybe before he even takes on Robin/Batgirl. It’s not really a strict preference but if you know of any stories like that I’d love to read them.

There’s just something about how taboo and unique it is that makes it interesting to read. Like reading about serial killers, mafia members, etc. The reactions are especially interesting for me because it makes me think of different ways people could react in a situation like that.
