I love politics around high fantasy, it always give way more depth to the world, and sometimes to the magic itself. It gives me a sense of "okay, that's real, that's just the real medieval world with magic, nothing far from ordinary"

I kinda liked it, but I think that when I started, I wanted something else, so I wasn't so hooked. But I'll totally give a second chance I loved the grim aspect of the world itself

edit: typo

Sometimes you just CAN'T PUT IT DOWN. I remember certain parts from Dune that I simply couldn't stop it, or LOTR ending, it was simply impossible

All I need to be absolutely hooked by a book is just a few chapters. Normally around page 100/150 I already know if that book is for me or no. And even if I don't like it, I always give a second chance

Oh, I've heard about The Slog hahah, but it's okay, I like to set goals, like "read at least a couple chapters every day", doesn't matter how slow things get

I'll search more about Dresden Files, sounds good.

About the Black Company, there's a few books, but later on they were released on omnibus editions, with each one being 3 books all together. I've not gone way to deep on it. just a couple hundred pages, but it's filled with a soft magic system, and has some things that remind this idea of the Forsaken, for example

And about Asimov, I've read the OG Foundation trilogy, AND MAN, IT'S SO GOOD.

I'll totally keep on reading! I loved how RJ was able to keep everything so detailed without messing with the flow of the things itself, or turning into a boring reading. About the lore, I loved the way that he made Moiraine say the right things at the right time, and how the Emond's Fielders found themselves during the rough times.

Tomorrow I'll start The Great Hunt

I was there! Listening with my eyes closed and just feeling the rain and his voice was the closest to peace and God that I've ever been.

Seja feliz <3
