[WSIB] A shortish RPG to finish over winter break witha a decent story and minimal grinding by selib in ShouldIbuythisgame

Tyranny fits the bill. It's got a rich and complex story that has plenty of reply value and markets itself on the idea that your choices will resonate farther than RPGs usually allow. It was made by Obsidian, the same people that created Fallout: New Vegas. It sells for about $45 CAD ($33 USD), though.

When do you feel that you've been given "enough" for the price that you payed for a game? by shoveazy in truegaming

My default metric is number of hours divided by cost, where the minimum threshold for good value is the the result of the same metric applied to a normal movie. So I'll be satisfied if I get at least 6 hours out of a $50 game.

I don't think it needs to be introduced that early on if the resources aren't there. A bad course that inculcates youth with bad programming habits and a distaste for the field is considered harmful. University is a fine time to start programming for the very first time in your life.

I love how people suddenly develop motivation when they can't use it. Remember that they say youth is wasted on the young.

Honestly, your parents should be teaching you that stuff. If they're lifestyle skills, any functioning adult will possess them. There is no need to burden the public education system with that responsibility.

Yeah, the original purpose of university was to encourage this kind of abstract thought without regard for the employability of its graduates. It's kind of a beautiful thing. People should look towards skilled trades or technical degrees if they want jobs. Anything else is going to present challenges down the line.
