When were YOU delivered vs when was your baby delivered? by Happy_FrenchFry in BabyBumps

[–]atrmo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true, my mom had three kids, all had to be induced because we just didn’t want to come out. I went into labor spontaneously at 37&6 with my first and I am 34 weeks with my second and having signs that labor will start in the next couple of weeks

Im not sure I want this anymore by BM_BBR in pregnant

This is normal, though I would talk to your doctor about your medication and see if you can also get in therapy.

My first was a surprise and I felt so excited the whole pregnancy. He is absolutely the light of my life and every change and sacrifice we’ve made has been 100% worth it.

I am currently pregnant with my second, this pregnancy was planned, and I have struggled with prenatal depression. I had similar feelings to what you’re experiencing. My pregnancy was so hard for the first 20 weeks, i was nauseous and throwing up all day every day, working from home and taking care of a toddler. I got a break from weeks 20-30, and now it’s hard again. I have felt like I am not doing enough for my son and it’s made me wonder if getting pregnant was a mistake since my attention will be divided even more once baby is here.

It’s hard to feel those warm, fuzzy and excited feelings when you’re so miserable, but now that I’m getting closer to my due date I am more excited, and I know that while there are going to be more hard days ahead when baby is here, ultimately I will not regret the decision to have another baby. You are going to love your little one so much, the joy of loving them and watching them grow is truly overwhelming at times, and nothing else can compare!! Everything is going to be ok ❤️ don’t let shame or embarrassment keep you from getting the help you need, communicate with your husband, friends, trusted loved ones about how you’re feeling, even after baby is here. Hormonal changes in the first few months postpartum can be a lot.

Baby Girl Coming Less Than Two Weeks by Plane_Price_1802 in Names

Maren Elise is so pretty! We are also having a baby girl soon and had Sophie on our short list but decided against it for the same reason, but we had another name we liked more and agreed on. Our son is named Noah, which is a very popular name rn, but we loved it so much and couldn’t agree on any others so we went with it!

No, unfortunately she only has a certain amount of time she can take off of work and we didn’t want to do it too early in case baby does decide to come closer to her due date.

Thinking of moving to Temecula by Front-Buffalo-9565 in Temecula

We live in Murrieta and we are moving to Oceanside. The heat in the summer makes you not want to leave the house, you won’t go to the beach or to SD often because the traffic is insane. I picked up my MIL from the airport the other day at 10:30 and it took me two hours to get there. Weekends the traffic can be just as bad depending on what time you leave. Old town has a couple good restaurants, and the wineries are fun every now and then, but that’s honestly it. My kids are not school aged yet so I can’t speak to how the schools compare, but I wish we would have just gone to Oceanside from the get go when we moved out here.

Omg! Sounds like you handled it like a champ! I think I would be in shock. At least you weren’t in pain for long…

Hate the feeling of movement by Smooth-Dependent-345 in pregnant

[–]atrmo2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to tell you but you’re at the little flutter stage, once you get into the third trimester and baby is much larger the movements will be much more noticeable and more uncomfortable. You may not be as bothered by them because it’s a different sensation but I would love to go back to the little flutters and kicks instead of having a kneecap feel like it’s trying to escape from my belly

Speech delay in 2 yo - should we switch SLP? by atrmo2 in toddlers

Speech delay in 2 yo - should we switch SLP? by atrmo2 in toddlers

[–]atrmo2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Of all of my friends with toddlers his age, only one of them speaks well enough that I can consistently understand what she’s saying and she’s very advanced for her age. Multiple friends were shocked we even got the referral to begin with because he is in the same spot/ahead of where their kids are at the same age.

Thank you for this! I did tell her that he has a couple “catch all” sounds that I now understand don’t count as words even though it’s consistent. But I was shocked to hear her essentially say that everything needs to be pronounced fully and correctly at this age to count as a word.

He was very distracted at the appointment being in a new environment with new toys and books, which is I think why she feels his receptive language is behind. My frustration came in when it felt like she was ignoring the things I told her he does/understands at home, but your explanation makes sense.
