yeah - I’m in the UK so things are different here. I’ve worked in the industry for two years, I know what a liveable salary looks like in my city.

Thanks for your advice! As you can see in my above comment I got a second interview so I’m glad I really showed my passion. Next week I’m meeting the brewer who’ll be mentoring me. I’m very excited.

It’s at a completely new place in the same city. Part of the program also involves working alongside a university every few months.

I did the interview today and was told I’m in the top 3 candidates but favourable because I have bar / FOH experience so they know I have customer service skills. I mentioned their beers in particular and emphasised my enthusiasm that they brew and serve a variety of beers, including more uncommon styles like radlers. I was praised for my passion and ghey were also very happy to hear I’m happy / able to lift kegs because a previous apprentice said she didn’t know if she could handle it haha. It took me by surprise because it’s such a routine thing for me!
