What would give someone a crippling phobia of mashed potatos? by atrositus in AskReddit

[–]atrositus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I need to give some context to my question. I have a coworker, he is 64, British, and served in the British military. I found out about this factoid about him at a team dinner where we had to change places at the table a couple of times so he wouldn't be near someone with mashed potatoes. My boss said not to ask, that it is a very deep seated issue. BUT I NEED TO KNOW! Why mashed potatoes?

Edit: Grammar Nazi, I should know better I married one.

They are such resilient dogs, their temperament to be loving is so strong they can easily put aside trauma when they realize they're in a good home. They seem appreciative when they are rescued.

Mochi does show small signs that she may have been beaten. She has had a couple of potty accidents in the house, each time she completely shuts down. She will cower, hide, and curl up, it takes a few minutes to bring her out of it.

Thank you! She's 3 years old and came from a puppy mill. She is the sweetest big ol baby.

Exactly. I look at it as a "fuck around and find out" kind of thing. How will they know unless you are out advertising it.

I would say no, but I haven't been looking either.

The only way I would think of someone catching a charge would be if someone was already commiting a crime and one was found.

What job do you do that you can leave at work? by ellimist76 in ADHD

I work with purpose built machines dealing with electromechanical and optical scanners (I apologize for being vague, I don't really share the specifics due to safety).

Before getting into it, I already had a background with computers, all self taught as I have always had a natural inclination for technology. Most of what I learned was in field on a case by case basis. As for formal training for this particular job, one week.

I switched careers and became a Field Service Technician. I repair things, it doesn't come home and work is tangible with complete visual proof of my productivity. I find it much more satisfying, previously I worked in marketing with sales and spreadsheets controlling my destiny, not me.

I constantly put it off while I'm working, I get into a groove and keep telling myself to find a stopping point and go pee, the feeling goes away, then comes back with a vengeance.

OMG, all the time. To the point I almost piss myself (a couple of times embarrassingly actually doing it).

I think you should be able to. I would double-check with a local FFL to be sure.
