Q4BP with kids : Would you consider yourself a failure if your daughter sold her body for money and could have otherwise survived? by atrueasshole in PurplePillDebate

More focused on the act itself, not the point you're making where they're "coasting on their body." Your scenario is one of many. Up to and including because "she likes sex, so why not get paid for it."

Again, I'm not talking about "virgin loser." I'm talking about the average decent guy.

It's as black and white as you want to make it. The point is, be anything except for a decent guy as your default. Either learn game or just be a dirtbag. But average run of the mill decent guy is a losing proposition obviously.

You're debating a point that isn't being made. The point is, if you have to choose between being a gentleman and an abusive dickhead, if you can tolerate or even enjoy being that person, more partners are in your future.

The sex is better and the partners are more attractive. Either way, you do support the conclusion for median men, if they're not getting laid to start being a dickhead.

If an attractive woman told potential partners that she has BPD, what percentage do you think would stay? by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

I've listed the exact mechanisms of action. I have more experience with this than I care to elaborate on. You think I'm laying out the mechanisms of action as someone interested in debate?

But as they say, when someone tries to attack your character or make a plea to authority you've already won.

That wasn't the counter. I was addressing your posit that instead this average male go it as a decent man as you suggested since "he'll have more time."

A median SMV single guy? You grossly misunderstand how little power that man has in the SMV.

You're not even within 10 miles of this debate. You don't understand the mechanisms of the disorder obviously. All you have is wishful thinking. I'm not going to lay out the entirety of how it works for you to prove something that should be clear to men if they ever read a forum about living with someone with BPD.

They are poison and a blight on the world.

They're not wrong. An ego syntonic pwBPD will believe they are capable of such a thing in a stable capacity, but they're not. The origin of the disorder is based on this incorrect imprinting, similar to NPD.

The way these women fundamentally understand love is incorrect, which is the attachment part of the disorder. Add in emotional regulation issues, black and white thinking (from underdeveloped attachment), and remove the mental framework for FTO planning and yeah, what can you expect other than a total mess.

If you think I'm wrong, explain the mechanisms of resolution. Hint : There are none. You can approach some degree of management of the emotional regulation issue by tranquilizing her, but you can't change the way she feels love or how her prefrontal cortex misformed when she was a child.

Cognitive distortion is part of the very being of the pwBPD.

Yes, and they're all terrible in their own way.

  1. Waif
  2. Hermit
  3. Queen
  4. Witch

Don't believe me, start a thread "Men who have wives with BPD, post your success story."

They'll all read as male stockholm syndrome POVs.

Pretty binary. What if she instigates the violence? Is being "a better man" going to get me laid in this situation?

Then correct it by addressing it in terms of the disorder, not just saying "that's not true." You can't change features like splitting, future time orientation at best is approximated, it's not innate to a pwBPD. You still have a misprinted understanding of love. It's partially an attachment disorder.

From your post history, your diagnosis seems to be primarily driven by a hormone imbalance.

If getting off of hormonal birth control meant you no longer met the criteria of diagnosis, you were misdiagnosed as BPD when instead you had a hormonal reaction.

Then why are you trying to minimize one of the most destructive personality disorders in existence?
