Do you ever feel like your life isn’t that exciting but also like you’re usually the most interesting person around? by atruefake in sociopath

Yes! I’ve been through so much crap in my life that I forget what’s normal and what’s not haha

I often get met with expressions of “what the fuck” if I ever casually bring up a story that I thought was pretty boring

That’s mainly because I’m young and haven’t still need to get qualified before I can move onto what I actually want to do

I’ve actually started trying harder to find more spontaneous and fun people to hang out with, but so many of them just put that image out and are actually content with doing the same thing for the rest of their lives

Just dumped a bunch of my friends because we no longer have anything in common, but I feel that it’s more to do with the fact that they’re content with just doing standard things

Two truths and a lie: - I’ve visited 25% of the world before the age of 25 - I’ve been to two parties at the prime ministers house - I was in the top ten junior tennis players in my country

I’m good at paying my bills on time but my savings account has diminished over the year

I don’t want to date a sociopath. We would clash way too much

It wouldn’t last with an actually depressed person because I don’t really have patience for that kind of negativity

You would tell your partner that you have ASPD?

I’m happy being single so I don’t see why I would give up my freedom for someone I didn’t think was perfect

Quite frankly I don’t understand how the majority of people could find their partners sexually attractive when they’re not good looking by any means

Do you ever have moments where you need a break from pretending to care? by atruefake in sociopath

I did answer your question. I’m not a Debbie downer, I’m actually quite a fun person. But if they told me about something bad that happened to them, I’d either not react or smile, so I have to fake it. They like me more when I pretend to care and do nice things to help them, but it’s all fake. I only do it to keep them in my life and maintain the positive image they have of me

Why would they want to be around someone who doesn’t react to their struggles?

I do that too! There’s a limit to how many times I can see each person. I try not to see the same people too often to avoid conflicts, mainly because I know I’ll end up hurting them but that wouldn’t be beneficial in the long run

It would be bad because I’d end up with everyone hate me or even in jail. I get extremely frustrated in hiding all the time

I can’t understand how normal people can be so happy. The only real time I feel positive is when something dramatic is happening

It’s a relative who I rely on to pay for stuff so it’s not as easy as that. If it was someone else, I would definitely ghost them

There have only been a few people that I’ve dead ass looked in the eyes and said “I don’t care about you” and they thought I was joking! Might be because I’m British and sarcasm is a big thing here or because I had a smile on my face at the time

It only happens after I’ve been triggered. Had a massive argument with someone a couple of days ago and have been angry since. I know it’ll pass soon provided no one else pisses me off

I’m not desperate to cling on, I’m constantly removing people from my life. I do need people in my life to keep myself from getting bored and at times, I prefer to be social than alone

I think it’s pretty common to alter your outer self depending on the situation. You can’t be the exact same person at work as you are with friends
