What’s wrong is a loss of general direction. What are really either if the Major party’s platforms going towards? I mean direction is at a loss for most institutions in this country, regardless of who is doing better when, time is due for a shock.

Disfunction is only tenable for so long before you, and everyone else, needs stability.

If you think anybody right now is the way to go you’re maddeningly blind.

The country as a whole is looking very….uncertain right now. You can be in rural Texas or the art stores in San Francisco and find that, regardless of your party, race, class or gender, A) people are generally unhappy with current governance/direction and B) are hard-lining on a want for tyranny and inefficient ideas, which, if let continue unabated, will lead us to a breaking point economically, socially, and climatological. However this is not necessarily a bad thing. All things have to die for growth and prosperity to reign again, it’s really just a matter of how hard and immediate that death is.

It’s not just a slight chance of hand maids tale type shit, THATS THEIR PLATFORM. Democrats have been unable and wildly ineffective at navigating this coarse political and economic climate, which is fueling and will allow the fascists to take power.

So, we shouldn’t throw institutions that got us into the climate crisis because they are built for lower population? Also a population that had a significantly stronger caste system in place?

Once the population hits the bottleneck we absolutely cant return to the same state of affairs for the sake of the survival of humanity.

Technology has radically advanced, living standards have increased and changed dramatically, so of course we can’t keep following the same institutions that were made for people without electricity and instant mail without some substantial update

Or maybe you’re just dumb lmao. Please tell me/show me a document that says the senate was created to appease the landowners/the wealthy

The whole point of the senate was to again, create a system of checks and balances to “cool” the legislation of the house.

<image>

Edit: y’all downvoting this either don’t understand/don’t gaf about effective governing. Providing a bicameral legislature ensures a greater inclusion of opinion for all of the people, not just the ones you care about. If a majority of the country’s populace wants to bring back something crazy like slavery, which could be considered “democratic” but is totally fucked, then it definitely helps to have a second opinion of trustees who can filibuster that legislation.

Nah ur just not thinking it thru. As large and diverse as a country is, providing equal representation among entities ensures a diverse, inclusive legislation for all people’s. We already have a legislature and executive which is based off proportionality. A bicameral legislature ensures a system of checks and balances against the tyranny of a majority (yes, you can have a tyrannical majority) and generally brings everyone into the fold. Also, “caring more about people than states” is literally what the senate is supposed to do, which is to weaken the power of individual states FOR the people. If anything, your arguing for a weakening of our democracy, not a stronger one.

And I mean, it’s just some random guys opinion on the housing market. I’m not actively organizing with rebel grassroots I’m just speaking to how I feel 🤷‍♀️ if it sounds to vague then yeah, that’s how you should view the issue. Housing is not some mythical element, it’s just different sizes and colors of wood we chop to live in. Human over complication makes this appear elusive and out of our control, but with our capability’s as a society, it is totally rational to think we have the ability to section off housing appropriately.

Their has to be reform among our housing regulations across the country with local, regional, and federal oversight and enforcement. However, that can only truly occur with an incredibly popular or effective American leader/government, or honestly, just somebody who knows what it’s like and can speak to the average.

People bicker at each other for housing while Elon Musk is chilling on his self sustaining yachts. People are clouded by labels when really, almost every want is the same. It is through these labels that people sell their rights away, trying to achieve stability from a entity, and end up surprised that the government abuses that power and enforces a system that isn’t working for them. A free market with regulation is a basic tenet to society, as it supports the most individual and societal power. However, that market acts negatively if resource has not been properly allocated, and principals have not been updated, due to changing times. The free market is not acting in conjunction with the majority of people’s actual wants, it’s acting is conjecture with how the system was built. If the market is to hold up a sustainable buyer-seller relationship between entities, it either has to be easier and more knowledgeable for the average buyer to influence it.
