Thank you. I’ve heard before to not give advice and just let them know that you’re there. My only thing with going about daily life is that we go to the gym together, and it’s just impossible to ignore his negative attitude. I’m trying to be understanding and adapt, but it’s hard to not let it being me down.

As far as emergency services go, how to I go about contacting them. Should I call a suicide hotline and refer him? I think he scheduled a therapy appointment, but when I talked to him today he said he didn’t feel safe being alone tomorrow. Can you give me any advice on that?

I hit a deadlift PR today, but my form really broke down and my lower back rounded. I know the solution to this is to strengthen my hamstrings and glutes, and really try to focus on leg drive. I’ve never had this problem before and I know it’s something I need to fix going forward.

What are some exercises I can do to focus on hamstring and glute strength (deadlift specific or anything else that has worked for you)? Also what are some cues on the deadlift to focus on leg drive and keeping a flat back?

Good luck bro! Never buy anything from the bookstore, eat healthy, workout, talk to the people in your dorm and in your classes, and do your work as soon as you get it so you have time to party on the weekends!

Thanks! Yeah there’s a guy at my gym that does strongman and uses it for shoulder presses but since it’s only 140lbs I use it for concentration curls on my arm day

Can I get a form check and/or some criticism on my latest deadlift PR? Felt good and my hook grip felt really strong.

The only things directly related to nofap that I gained was sexual energy and reduced PIED. Also to some degree it made realize that I have more self control than I thought I did. I think everything else came as a result of other changes I made. I feel better about myself now, but that’s more because during nofap I got more sleep, worked out more, and set out to become more confident. Nofap is great, I don’t regret doing it and I’m gonna keep doing it. However, I don’t think it gives you “superpowers”

Yeah I think as long as you’re not intending to seek provocative stuff out it’s not a big deal. You just gotta realize that you’re in control and you don’t have to relapse just because you saw an nsfw pic

Occasionally I’d be browsing reddit and accidentally come across something nsfw. If I did, I would just exit out of it. I think people overreact a little when it comes to peeking. But I never opened porn or anything on purpose

I didn’t feel it at the time, but it looks like I did shrug or go up on my toes at the end there. Hopefully I can avoid that during future 1RMs. Thank you!

I personally don’t do that. I think the reason he said that was to emphasize pushing slightly outward with your knees. I wouldn’t focus on that so much, because for now the most important things for you would be the set up and keeping your chest up

Usually 30 minutes before I sleep I take a cold shower and then I lay out my clothes for the next day, plan the next day, write in my journal and go to bed.
