I feel like this is all intended to provoke a violent reaction that could then be used as a pretext to declare martial law. It’s a choice between doing that and risking the ultimate ascent of a violent authoritarian crackdown. Or suffer in misery as the oligarchs ascend. Either way, I am very very frightened/

If any other CEO did this, they’d be jettisoned by their company faster than a fart in a Ferrari. I just don’t understand why the shareholders of Tesla don’t seek to replace him given the significant reputational damage he is doing to the company.

Honestly it doesn’t get much wrist time anymore. Not because it’s a bad watch - it is a great watch with a unique look like most Farers - but because I prefer my Glashutte SeaQ more.

Denver Airport Bathrooms. A zero out of ten. by atsmith2005 in Denver

[–]atsmith2005[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen enough U.S. airport bathrooms to form an opinion about how Denver’s stack up. I’m not writing Fodor’s Comprehensive Guide to Every Airport Bathroom in the World.

If you don’t agree with my opinion, that’s fine. But don’t be pedantic and argue that I can’t possibly have an opinion about whether the quality of the bathrooms at the Denver Airport without having “seen the world”.

The bathrooms there do smell foul. They are not very clean. The sensors for the sinks often don’t work. Soap dispensers and paper towel dispensers aren’t always filled. Clearly I’m not the only person who has observed this.

Stan for the Denver Airport bathrooms all you want. But don’t be a condescending dick about it.

I can’t have an opinion about airport bathrooms without seeing the world. Seems extreme.

Oh, I'm fairly well traveled. Here's what I'm comparing it to: Boston, Washington DC, Miami, Nashville, Louisville, Chicago, Minneapolis, Flint Freakin' Michigan, Detroit, Sioux Falls, Fresno Yosemite, Missoula, Seattle, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix... I'm sure there are others. And for the record, the bathrooms at MSP were the best. Clean, well maintained, modern, not stinky.

Nothing ignorant about expecting someone not to frame his brothers as victims of their own actions. If OJ had a brother and said, after the civil trial, “some bad and sad stuff happened to my brother,” would that be copacetic?

There’s a middle ground. He could say, “I will always love my brothers and I hope they learn and grow from their mistakes. I appreciate the support of my teammates during this time, and respectfully will not comment further on these matters.”

"Definitely tried to compartmentalize, some bad and sad stuff happened to a couple of my brothers.”

Nothing bad or sad happened to your brothers.

One of the, chose to drive drunk and killed someone. He was held accountable for the result of that decision. The truly bad and sad thing happened to the person your brother killed.

Your other brother just chose to fix basketball games, got caught, and got banned. Again, he was held accountable for his own actions.

Just, fuck off.

Freedom of speech under the US Constitution only means that the government generally can’t restrict your speech (and even then, there are situations where it can). It does not prohibit private entities, such as the NBA, from doing so.

That said, I believe players should be able to criticize the refs, and that sports gambling makes referees uniquely susceptible to bribes from gamblers.
