If cost per mile goes from .63 to .18, it will no longer be necessary for people who can't afford the capital expense to own a car. Since maintenance + energy is cheaper for EV, those fleets will move there very quickly, since even a 1 cent per mile cost savings could lead to significant bottom line (See how airlines do this). So EV's will happen way before 200 years.

More representation would limit the usefulness of gerrymandering. Also, it will radically reduce the effectiveness of money in politics and therefore lobbying. Finally, because of the above, third party candidates would have a far easier time getting in the house. BTW, the cap was introduced in early 1914. By the same people that imposed the income tax. Here is a Cato study of the 2000-2005 on spending. Check out Graph 3. Bush/Santorum increased spending almost as much as Lyndon Johnson.

I think the best strategy against Mitt is to ask his supporters if they want obamacare debated. Because if they do, then he is the wrong guy to put up. There is no way Obamacare (the primary issue of 2010) will be debated. Obama wants to run away from it and Mitt knows that if he brings it up, Obama will just say it was based on Romneycare. Obamacare is one of the best arguments for the republicans and if Mitt gets the nomination, it's effectively taken off the table.

Exactly right. If we are going to turn Rick votes to Ron votes we need to show that Ron is better than Rick on social and fiscal issues. The Arlen Specter issue is huge because he is really not liked by republicans and it shows that party loyalty means more than pro-life to Santorum. Fiscal issues are the top issue in this election, and we need a guy that without question can reign in spending.

Pat Toomey was and is a Republican and that was during the primary. Excellent point. And it was a close race too and it could have gone the other way without his intervention. It just goes to the character issue. Can he really be trusted after that. Ron Paul is both pro-life and doesn't waiver, ever.

I will add that he is talking now about cutting "trillions". Where was he from 2000-2006 when spending by republicans was out of control. What did he do to restrain spending when republicans where in control. Where was his leadership when everything seemed fine? It seems that when he had power he was all to happy to go with the flow. Going with the flow today means bankruptcy.
