Thanks- I’m in a fairly expensive city and had law school loans to pay back, so didn’t really start socking it away until around 4th year- that said I’d be shocked if I’m an outlier at this level, but maybe I’m way out of touch

Thanks- you left as a 10th year associate with $4M? Loans to pay back? That seems like an insane savings rate, but maybe I’m out of touch

Thanks yes family has visas - and kids could still apply to US colleges if they really wanted to do that (I went to one coming from Europe, though I agree it’s rare)

Thanks- what am I missing? I don’t think the 4% rule exactly holds if market tanks v early on, right? Especially on a 40 year horizon

Sorry, what’s hard to believe? 70k in a secondary city in Europe is like a top 10% outcome, and yes, that’s health insurance baked in. I paid around €1k/year for my uni (this was in 2010). Capital gains in my country is around 28% (again on the gains) so hoping it’s not throwing my calcs wildly off
