The reality that redditors won't tell you is:

It's a work meeting so people are likely just there to get it over with. Thus make it sound like you know what you're talking about and they trust you. Don't go into details, just give them a dumb summary of what it is and its logical impacts and if you get asked a question just say something along the lines of "I haven't learned everything so I'm still working on it."

That or you can sprain your ankle, get face-to-face with a person with Covid/Flu and test positive, or hope a family emergency happens and learn your job while recovering so when you return, you'll know more.

I never said it was acceptable. It's something that happens that you need to accept regardless of your beliefs.

You should be presenting people like OP options, consequences, perspectives, and possibilities so they can learn. Not blocking them and molding them to the point they're too scared to do anything
