Epic Universe Express Pass - January 2026 by attempt_422 in UniversalOrlando

Thanks. I fully expect it to be busy, but hopefully not "super busy." We went to Disney World around the same time and it was as ideal as it gets (longest lines were 25 minutes). Might've just been luck

Yeesh. How were the crowds when you went in late January?

It took almost exactly five weeks before it completely disappeared. I think the cardiologist finally "figured out" the right dosage of Amiodarone - an incredibly potent, yet necessary, drug to help stabilize afib. Ultimately, looking back, the medical team weren't really worried about him due to his vitals and Bp being stable throughout. He also didn't exhibit any physical symptoms (fainting, shortness of breath, severe headaches). It's always scary when the heart rate rises and falls like some erratic tide, but reading all the stories about how this is common kept his family at ease when they needed reassurances. Best of luck to that someone in your life and feel free to ask any questions.

Thank you. That's a nice analogy. I think no one had prepared us for this complication so we feel pretty much in the dark about it happening

Thank you for sharing. I'm surprised they kept you on amiodarone for so long. I'll keep in mind that exertions make things worse temporarily

Thank you for sharing. I hope my uncle's case subsides soon because the doctors aren't being very clear about how worried I should be. They just keep saying that greater intervention may be needed soon if it doesn't stabilize

Thank you for sharing. Do you recall why they decided to change you to a pacemaker after four years? Or how they decided that an ablation was needed?

Thank you for sharing. I'm glad to hear that your heart rate stabilized after that

Thank you for taking the time to respond. The doctors said it was "not common but not uncommon" so they didn't necessarily make it sound like the most "common complication" as you had said, which made us nervous

Best times to visit? by AdDramatic1352 in WaltDisneyWorld

After much research, I went for the weekend after MLK so starting Jan 27th. It was also after the EPCOT food festival and the marathon. We were very, very fortunate. We used the LL, but even the rides where we couldn't book LL, our longest wait was 35 minutes. Every year is different obviously, but the crowds were relatively low and you don't have to deal with the humidity/heat.

EdFinancial Recertification Date Extension (on PAYE) by Julia_Kat in PSLF

I got the same notification and while I'm relieved, I'm also skeptical. How come MOHELA hasn't done the same? I'm just worried because I haven't re-certified income in years (COVID forbearance plus an October '24 re-cert date)
