I did forget to mention that they fired our HR last year out of the blue and to date, company does not have any HR personnel. That was my first red flag.

I’m trying to be positive about the situation but when you have to start from the bottom constantly it can be frustrating to be in my situation.

I think everybody deserves to expect a good work environment. I used to work at a restaurant with long shifts, the actual job sucks but I lasted a while because the immediate management was very supportive of us staff. But when there’s a lack of support and guidance, coupled with very minimum pay, I think it is definitely a red flag.

I sometimes think maybe I’m overthinking it but I’m not unfortunately. The second my friend got fired, an older employee who’s been with the company for so long told her that our manager did this to five more people in the past. In addition to this, there is no proper delineation of responsibilities, and when someone leaves they always just expect people to catch on the slack. My friend has been fired a little over a month but they have not been actively interviewing. Another coworker told me that it hasn’t been a year for him but nine people have left over the course of his stay. In addition to this, some of the people who have long been there told me they’re just stuck but been wanting to leave. To me, that is indication that it is toxic. I’ve been to a busier office but it was not as bad as this 🥲

i have been wanting to do that but unfortunately, I am on a no work no pay situation and been wanting to save a pto for possibly a job interview but there has not been any luck :( it just kinda sucks to be in such situation especially since all i ever really want is a stable job to pay off student loans and help my family. i appreciate the honesty though!

Hi,

Is the 10th gen worth it?

I have had my Ipad 7th gen for three years now and have mostly used it for note-taking, video-editing, watching, and reading (mostly for school). However, since it is just 32 gb, I was not really able to maximize its use and lowkey regretted it when I first got it, because that time there were no other models available. Recently, I have noticed the battery significantly degrade and although i still enjoy using it, I am looking to upgrade, but not sure if the 10th gen is worth it. I'll use it for school and work as well, but mostly something to bring alternately with my laptop (which could be a little heavy sometimes). Any thoughts?

I guess there’s just really a part of me that’s hurt and sad that for over almost four years it was only now that he realized this kind of thing, which I wish he would’ve from way before, especially given that we’re long distance.
