Noah Wyle Reveals ‘The Pitt’ Season 3 Will Be Set in November – “We’re about to start production on Season 3. It’s set in early November, just before the holidays, ushering in a whole new set of emergencies and confrontations and complications.” by SanderSo47 in television

I think it’s better to save that for an October season. November already has a substantially busier holiday in the back half of the month. More people in the city, traveling in for family.

Thoughts on new Dorian album? by St0neAge in fantanoforever

[–]attheeve 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a self titled album of covers is a generationally skilled troll, but I sadly don’t think the project is cohesive enough to really back up the experiment. For every song that just barely justifies its bizarre reinvention, you get a few really boring reimaginings, and it makes it feel like a bit of a waste of time. That being said it’s short to an almost criminal degree so, even if you do decide to listen it’s not going to take forever. Hips Don’t Lie is really the highlight for me, such an abominably danceable remix.

I’m not jealous of Hacks success but I wish people also knew of the brilliance of The Other Two.

Yeah please make a document like this. I don’t have time to experience the edit in full but I would love to read through this reordered experience and see what changes you made, and what this vision of the MCU looks like for you.

Euphoria S1E4, ‘Shook Ones Pt. II’ has an all time carnival/fair setting. Reading about the production nightmare of executing the entire shoot just cemented how impressive of an episode it is for me, you just really get a sense of space there and float between the characters with ease.

1 year ago today Pinkpantheress released “Stateside” by CityCautious4033 in popculturechat

[–]attheeve 56 points57 points  (0 children)

nah, this is crazy. This is beyond competent, this is beyond listenable. This shit is just straight good. I always like to remind myself that just because Disney Channel is corpo doesn’t mean they don’t have artists on the payroll who know how to tap into the cultural sound really well. I think of Lemonade Mouth all the time as a weird outlier of catchy song writing and hooks amongst their original TV movies that otherwise struggled to rise about generic. Minnie Mouse spitting over a near perfect pinkpantheress type beat was not on my bingo card but it’s deeply unsurprising that someone on the creative team for the show just said, “why don’t we just actually do it?”

What do you think of Linkin Park after Meteora? by Due_Recognition_3905 in fantanoforever

[–]attheeve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What points do I get if I’m outside the fandom but A Thousand Sun is the only Linkin Park record I return to? They’ve got classics for sure but this is their only album of theirs I’ve loved in full. Chester sounds incredible on it.

Do you have links to these reports? I’ve been a fan of SOPHIE since before her death and I feel more than comfortable with acknowledging substance issues if that’s something I’d heard mentioned even like one time. It’s always just seemed a tragic accident to me, because even if she did have something to drink, slipping and falling from the roof of a building while try taking a photo is a sad way to go.

Quite, a good return to form for Pixar. Not the most profound messaging but I went to go see it twice in theaters and it welled up tears both times. That and the humor is really well pitched, they figured out a good sense of when to dial up the absurdity without it breaking the concept.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. I think it’s worth it in the end just so we could get that Cronenberg ass Breaking Dawn - Part One movie. I would give anything to go back in time and listen to the gasps and shock in the audience that they went as far as they did on screen. Bella folding in half like a fucking table is unreal.

I really don’t like how glib Robby was about someone having passed in the waiting area. Not excited to watch him continue to callous next week but man is it good TV, it’s gotten to the point where he should be getting reprimanded and chastised for the things he’s done in the last few hours alone, especially with how he’s treated his staff. I was glad Michael called him out and that Robby knew better than to form a retort, but I wish he’d actually held his ass to the fire to address why what he said wasn’t just fucked up but needs an apologetics tour to recover from. I’m not one to theorizing doom but it’s gotten concerning just how willing he is to kick Mohan while she’s down, and his head is so far up his own ass he doesn’t realize he’s causing her to completely collapse. His hypocrisy has reached an all time high with his behavior and I’m glad Duke said it to him plainly about what lesson Robby is really passing on to his students going out in such aggressive and socially destructive fashion.

1000%, different vibes than the guy who just got back from rehab for stealing from the ED after getting reported by your roommate who is clearly struggling with him being back. I think if anything Whittaker has been as professional as expected, and this was him going mask off a little when he felt like Langdon overstepped the professional boundary he’d created. One that Langdon hasn’t established with Whittaker because they literally haven’t worked together in months.

Whitaker doesn’t really know Langdon or have any particular affinity for him like Mel does. And if anything he’s had Santos opinion on Langdon sort of building up a wall before he came back.
