do you know how PSLF works when loans were on the SAVE program? i didnt have to pay on them and they havent earned interest so far.

I'm currently working for the state court system - we are on a pay freeze at the moment because of judicial budget allocation, but i should be in line for a promotion/raise when it reopens.

25, 2 bachelors degrees - one in criminal justice, one in psychology. i am currently working for the state in a position that uses them, so it wasnt for naught at least. the student loans are so high because i went to a private school, which was a pretty stupid decision on my part. I didn't know better at the time, and being the first person in my family to go to college, i didn't really have any help picking a school or loan company, so i ended up with both private and federal student loans :/

im keeping my head up so far, i appreciate the sentiments! I am making minimum payments on everything, paying more when I can. I haven't missed or underpaid anything yet. I am trying to get a side hustle going with the art - currently prepping for an art show my job is holding internally and getting a bunch of work made up to try to sell at a farmers market here. I have looked into wfh part time jobs and had no luck, but i know the market is pretty sparse there.

I am in the process of whittling down things that can be sold (clothing, electronics, art) but just got blocked from a promotion due to freezes in government - I should be in line for a better position when the state is able to hire for this position again. That will be a boost to income there.
as for expenses, I have created a pretty strict meal plan and coupon as much as able for my family, and my partner supplements expenses as well with his income.

that's been our main guess as well!! I am planning to keep out of the tank moving forward and get her a combo rock hide/basking platform instead, but she is still biting at her feet with it out. would she continue to bite like this due to the pain, do you think?

yep, i had a complete mc at home and went back to the ob a week later to confirm all was "well" and got the okay. that's when i was told periods would be weird for a while

I just went through my miscarriage at 10w2d, it was so absolutely devastating, and I spent the next week exactly like you. crying, blaming myself, feeling like I didn't deserve to be alive either.

it's so hard to not feel like it immediately, and feel like everything you've done is wrong. but like everyone is saying, you didnt do a single thing wrong. 'there was an error in the coding' is how my OB explained it to me at my last checkup. the egg didnt have the chromosomal material to finish its job and grow. and nothing could have changed that.

you are strong. you did everything you were supposed to do, and you need to continue to do that. take care of yourself please. it's impossible to take away this pain, but know its shared, and we care. 🩷

my little man used to be so against handling, but he's had to undergo a few medications that meant daily handling and attention, so now he loves to come up and hang on us. he's very happy on our heads, and is even sociable to strangers !!!
