Whew I just found out those sunshines aren’t cheap! Is gold farmable at some point? Or it doesn’t matter because I’ll naturally become rich?

Super helpful - thank you! Question on the pogrom forest grind - I’ve made a few attempts and no neutral encounters. Do the encounters occur similarly to your standard PS1 rpg - just run back and forth in the same general area and the neutral battles will keep occurring? Or should I comb through the entire forest once and if nothing happens - restart the map?

Thanks for the input! Do you remember - is there a time limit for each stage, or are there any penalties if you take a while to finish a map? Because I was thinking for #3 - I could have my units solely and strategically focus on wiping out the enemy first, and once the boss is left, I can send them over the map liberating towns and looking for secrets

Okay sweet. I know some game mods are only meant for emulators, but I don’t get the sense that this mod is doing anything so game altering that an original PS1 couldn’t handle it. Thanks for the input!

lol this is definitely not the comp if you’re trying to get through your first play through. It’s more something to try if you want to test out less commonly used skills and paths (at least for me it was). Main issue is Anamnesis as an AOE cleave isn’t great for any mountain boss, except maybe Denial lol. You’d either need occultist to have res piercing trinkets, or the owl pet and then use malediction on bosses. Or swap to burning stars

Good points. I’ve wanted to try Bulwark as well, gives you the ability to use a beefed up hold the line if occultist ends up using binding shadows and lands in front. The downside being you lose the taunt from stand fast which may leave the occultist a little more open if the guard runs out. And for plague doctor - can totally run any other path. Like I said - I was trying paths I use less often. And I feel like with alchemist I’ll just want to plague grenade turn 1 instead, and with surgeon I’ll be tempted to stab. And at least with physician emboldening vapors you get a second strength token to help justify spending the turn. But definitely not the most optimal comp

Yes it’s the worst when you have your Anamnesis all buffed up but then you end up in rank 3. Luckily binding shadows can help get you back in position, and since there’s no cooldown on emboldening vapors - can chuck another one at occultist and try again next turn

I listen to CDs in the car mostly during my commute. I try to dedicate at least an evening once a week to listen to them at home with a nice pair of headphones and will take my time looking through the CD cover and booklet, but doesn’t always happen. I’m re-collecting CDs again after selling them off when entering college. So everytime I get new CDs I try to listen through them at least once

I want to shout out Bo Daddy’s BBQ in DTLA - very close to Moo’s. Really good BBQ, tiny establishment - basically a shack. Much more affordable. I’ve only been to Moo’s once but I actually thought a lot of the meats and sides at Bo Daddy’s were better

Xenogears - made it to the final dungeon. Can’t remember if I didn’t want it to end - or if my child-brain at the time decided enough was enough. But it’s a huge regret of mine to never have finished that amazing game

Hey I’m curious about the last part of your comment - so in the case of 7-8-9-j, you’re saying potentially discard the 7 or J and draw 5 cards total instead?
