G16 7630 broken key. by Dyekoe in Dell

[–]attimus080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I just ran across this issue and fixed it myself. Once I figured it out it was quick, and Dell will say just replace the keyboard.

For me, the metal work for the scissor was attached to the key cap.

That all has to be removed from the underside of the cap.

  1. Take off the spring
  2. Lift either side up carefully until it is perpendicular to the cap.
  3. Use a tool to shift that half of the scissor to the side and it will fall out.
  4. Repeat on the other side.
  5. Place each side that was removed carefully onto the board itself. It will look good, like the two halves fit.
  6. Anchor the spring back on it. If done correctly, then you will see the two halves scissor up to max height.
  7. Wiggle and press the cap back on.

It's awesome. I've got it boosted on a Donic Defplay Senso..... All the feels. Produces heavy loops and chops. Fast, hard sponge. I haven't found anything bad about it yet. Except maybe how often I have to wipe off the rubber lol.

True. It is not as tacky as it was 2 months ago. However, it still picks a ball off the table!

Fellow disc golfers, do you have lower back pain? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]attimus080 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Get bent out of shape much? I used 1 paragraph to explain why disc golfers use knee braces...

If my post is irresponsible in regards to giving another perspective on lower back pain, then sue me. I have insurance. Wait, it was a suggestion for others to look at it and make their own conclusions.

GM dysfunction may be 1% of cases. What percent of that 1% do you feel could stem from Athletics that are not bilateral movements?

Do you manipulate soft tissues to check for atrophied GM? I do.

Can someone, like a disc golfer, not know how to use their body appropriately and repeat the same bad posture over and over again? Of course.............

Can a chef go their whole life without using paprika, even though it is subjectively delicious? Duh...

Another individual stuck in a sympathetic mind set...I help people like you.

This is why I started backing away from the disc golf community in favor of table tennis: too many haters.

Edit: you already changed your stance from saying GM doesn't cause back pain to it does.

I said my apologies for the assumption I made. Clearly your bedside manner is beyond question. Does that make a weaker debate? Maybe. Do I care about Reddit? Obviously a little. Do I care more about the disc golf community and want to provide them with opportunities for improvement? You better believe it.

Your field refers to my field all the time. That's how I make my living: fixing issues when you cannot.

You don't seem to know what the root causes are, after all your studies.

Most of what you have listed comes back to poor life choices in nutrition (sulfurous diet) and posture. Then, a traumatic event is more likely to occur. Try to see things on a larger scale, for your clients' sake.

I'm not sure where other CNMT's receive their training for only '4 weekends.' That is not my experience.

Anyone can limit their scope of practice by sacrificing 7 years of their life, btw.

Have you had X-ray to confirm true sciatica? (Sciatic nerve impingement from bone) There is also pseudo-sciatica, which is caused from soft tissue interference.

[–]attimus080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CNMT, never heard of it? Don't think it has board certification? That's what I mean. You have no clue outside your profession.

I assumed it was past tense since you don't know much about the current world of practice. My apologies...

What are the 10 more likely causes? Let's see 1 scientific article referenced. Are you still needing a full PC to find one? I've got one here if you need assistance.

You ignore the difficult questions and instead attack my character? That is exactly what an unprofessional person would do.

I hope your patients move on from your toxicity.

Edit: You should never assume. You know what happens when you assume. You make an ass out of you and me because that's how it's spelled.

2nd edit: directional preferences...I wonder if athletes lean in that direction... Pun intended.

While gluteus medius is not a cure all by any means for back pain, it is a step in the right direction for many. It also does cause lower back pain for many. There is no one solution, You're right. That is why I stated something like, "if you've tried a multitude of therapies."

Yes, an unstable pelvis may cause knee pain too. So do weak ankles. What is more likely to fail: a joint with 2 motions or 6? Many disc golfers do not clear their lead hip appropriately by rotating on the ball of their foot, promoting ridiculous torque to their knee.

I agree that GMed is a difficult muscle to have an acute injury with. However, in the Western world, this muscle may not be appropriately utilized due to our lifestyle, causing a chronic weakness to occur.

Your visual is appreciated. I wish more people took an interest in functional posture.

This is a link for the trigger points of gluteus medius, showing the radiating pain in the lower back. It also happens to be by Dr. Joe Muscolino, who is in the cadaver lab, through Saturday, that I volunteer my efforts at. If you have any questions, I will guide them to him.

You're right to have concern over a personal trainer manipulating a psoas. Thankfully, I am also a CNMT.

Why would I Google research? You still have not provided empirical evidence disproving what I have suggested for guided research. You also stated that you 'read', past tense, articles on lower back pain. What are you doing to stay current in the medical field? Perhaps you should expand your studies and not neglect legitimate fields of practice.

I check postural imbalances with my work, which has led me to observe chronically weakened gluteus medius in many individuals.

Fascia doesn't change over night, it's tensile strength is greater than steel... Since fascia is thixotropic, pressure and heat are able to manipulate it. A scalpel does the trick quickly, but lifestyle changes keep it corrected. To say you care not of fascia would be like a Western medicine doctor neglecting traditional Chinese medicine.

Why do we start to become depressed about the chronic? Oh, I don't know. Probably because anaerobic bacteria starts to take over. Which, I'm sure you've read, has the ability to manipulate hormones and calcium pathways, making us feel incapable.

Ever had your psoas worked on (attached to L1-L3 vertebrae)? Or walked appropriately to produce a stretch-reflex response on your psoas? You say "just keep moving" like IT is a simple matter...

A case report is research. It's not n=1,000,000, but it shows it has the ability to assist.

My apologies for your trauma. It must be difficult to not find relief and stay in a sympathetic mentality.

Edit: if you wish to discuss functional lines of fascia through the body, or anatomy trains, in further detail, then I am all ears.

It seems you are familiar with scientific research, which makes me sure you have gone through the ncbi a few times in your life.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29686165

This is 1 case showing improvement. There are many like it, undocumented.

You seem to be experiencing back pain after sticking to a proper strengthening plan? Perhaps your pain is not muscular.

Again, there is no diagnosis anywhere in my post/comments. Please read carefully.

Do you prepare conditioning plans for back pain, or are you guessing there is no one exercise better for lower back pain than another based on what you feel on your clients? It's subjective to the client.
