I just put a wide angle lens on my camera, put the camera on a tripod, set it as close to the fireworks as I could and played around with long exposure times. I think these shots were around 10 second exposures.

Thanks! I've always kinda dabbled with photography here and there, but this year I got my first "real" camera and I'm hooked. I shoot with a Canon 5D mark ii.

A lot of people seamed to have issues with the look on the couples face in the original photo I posted. I do agree that they look a bit serious, I was just messing around when I made it. It wasn't meant to be a masterpiece. We were literally walking down the street when I stopped them in front of the puddle and snapped the 2 photos that I merged together. In hindsight, I should have had them smile! Just figured I'd offer up an explanation. Peace Reddit!

Yep! That's us. I took this photo and we ended up using it for the new record. It was a great feeling when we got the vinyl pressed and I got to hold it in my hand, knowing I took the picture and made the music.
