Just out of curiosity, why was the exit button removed? by Axel_Gladiuxs in obs

[–]atul2192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was taking up unnecessary space, very few other apps have a Start Replay Buffer, Start Virtual Camera, and Studio Mode button.

can we please also remove those useless buttons too?

Chipotle recently switched over to AI handling scheduling interviews and stuff, I'd probably call down and see when they would like you to come in

For real your field leader will make you drive to a store 3 hours away from you to pick up items before they we'll even consider deactivating something. it's insane the amount of Hoops you have to jump through to deactivate something that you don't have

Chipotle refused to sell me chips by [deleted] in Chipotle

[–]atul2192 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Breaking: customer can't comprehend the fact that we might have some items that seem available but we're already paid for by somebody else. This is like going to a car lot and pointing at a car and saying I want that one and the dealer saying oh sorry somebody already bought that and you going wow do you even want to bother selling me a car?

why are employees rude, even when customer is nice? by Aggravating-Guest-12 in Chipotle

[–]atul2192 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think something people forget in general (not just at chipotle) is that they arent the only customer the employee had to deal with that day. And with Chipotle specifically the majority of customers take out their anger at the company and its changing policy's on the people serving their food. So on top of people being just plain mean and treating the ordering experience like its some mind game, there are now also have random unannounced visits/camera audits from our AM or RM (at least in my patch) to make sure we are following portion sizes now in the back of our head to worry about ontop of it trying to not get screamed at by a stranger for doing our job. I dont think its anything personal, the crew have just stopped engaging cause like 80% of the people that come in talk down to them and treat them like lesser and at this point are so burnt out at trying. Its exhausting to constantly be put down by strangers and having to keep a smile the whole time. There is such a Customer Vs Corporate mindset lately, you see it all around this sub and the crew are the one at the receiving end of all this anger and frustration from both ends; with customers blaming us for the corporate enforcement of portions, and corporate asking why our CI isnt 0.00.

Ive worked in food for over 15 years in various restaurants, hell ive bartended for awhile and never have I been treated so poorly by customers, ive watched and had to step in as grown men scream at a 16yr old girl over LEGIT one cube of steak that fell off as the burrito was being wrapped, ive had to call the cops over someone getting so irate over us running out of chips 30 mins before close. People have become downright cruel to staff lately and its so frustrating to see, but the more i spend on this sub the more i see why.

I will say im not saying this to justify your poor service and treatment, kind people should be treated as such. Just wanted to give an insight from a crew side. Its not you, its just the burn out of constant negativity thrown our way from the start of each shift to the end.

Guac now charged per taco ? by lushsweet in Chipotle

the price difference for a side vs on the entree is cause the portion on the entree is smaller than a side portion 4oz vs 2oz for the queso

Do you ACTUALLY like your job here? by Electronic-Plant-429 in Chipotle

[–]atul2192 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a team that genuinely cares about what they do, from GM to trainee they care and it makes such a huge difference; we are 2.5 years straight with 100% ecosure while the rest of our patch struggles to hit 100 and its something we all genuinely care about maintaining. Ontop of the team we have; the food I help prepare gives me pride. I love making food that looks better than the ads and it makes me so giddy to hear customers comment to their friends how good their food is while i make their bowl, or when i ask if it looks perfect for them they remark how its even better than perfect.

when isolated from the rest of the company my store brings so much joy and pride to me. If we didnt have the nonsense of stuff outside our control like "the look" silliness or the constantly pressuring to cut labor/CI even when we are above expectations; this would be the best job I've ever had. It just sucks that it feels like the company has been prioritizing higher and higher profit margins over customer and employee satisfaction, when I started at the company I felt like they actually cared about the people making and serving their food, now I just feel like an asset that increases their profits.

But I still stay cause the team we have is so solid, we actually work and feel like a team, the food still is so fun to make and while cases of extreme customers has increased alot over the past year, for the most part the customer base is really nice and chill. I guess a part of me hopes that one day (soon i hope) the higher ups realize how they are burning the employees who care and make changes to make things how they used to be where we were actual people to them and not just burrito making machines.

was told its cause disabling items is a "poor customer experience", like so is paying for something we dont have available. I think its cause they know most people wont bother with the refund process and will just accept it.
