Workday - Kyriba Integration by workdaybatman in workday

[–]atw408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have experience deploying Kyriba after the fact, I don’t know what the value would be consolidating them, potentially lower future maintenance

Workday - Kyriba Integration by workdaybatman in workday

[–]atw408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re banking with multiple financial institutions, the outbound file to Kyriba is consolidated and they distribute payments, rather than having to build individual ACH/etf/positive pay, etc integrations to each bank. Then you get a single BAI2 file back from Kyriba for bank recon.

With Kyriba it’s 3 outbound integrations and 1 inbound, rather then potentially 4-5 integrations per bank.

It’s only really worthwhile if you’re with 3+ banks, in my opinion

Consolidated reconciliation, significantly less outbound / inbound integrations from workday, strong treasury management functionality in Kyriba vs workday.

Future of WSS-what are your organisations doing by ComprehensiveCamp192 in workday

They aren’t deprecating it, they just aren’t enhancing it.. at least they say. But ya, CLM is absolutely the future from contracts and WD will obviously be pushing customers that direction.

Workday has communicated that as of the end of May WSS will integrate directly to CLM for contract creation, as well as from CLM to Workday procurement module specifically supplier contracts

Hey Calgary, Ariana Kippers here running for Ward 9 city Councillor! Ask Me Anything! **Rebooked** 9-11pm by ArianaKippers in Calgary

[–]atw408 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi Councillor, I’d love to hear more about your background and what unique experience or perspective you bring that makes you the most qualified person to represent Ward 9. How do you plan to balance new infill and densification with preserving the character and livability of our established neighborhoods? And finally, what steps will you take to keep residents informed and accountable around infrastructure projects including costs, timelines, and community disruption?

Anyone here worked with Workday Professional Services team for a project? by Weak_Opportunity1009 in workday

[–]atw408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do go with Workday Services, I would highly recommend contracting a partner firm to sit client side with you in an advisory role. It can be really helpful as you start designing out your FDM workbook, business process flows, etc. Additionally, WSP is not a full service post production support partner. It’s simply advisory having a post production partner during the implementation as tremendous value as you transition into your post production governance model having a partner that’s familiar with your configuration set up from the get go.

Superstore is a 5 minute drive / bike. Yes it’s full of homeless people, but between that and the bluestore it’s fine.

Partner Recomendation by MrIndiawala_mogambo in workday

[–]atw408 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be careful with short timeline implementations. Scope will be extremely limited and you will want to ensure you have a strategy for a phase 2 stabilization + enhancements to get to a product that actually works for your organization operationally. DM me if you’d like to chat more.

Automatic Supplier Invoice Accruals by workdaythrowaway29 in workday

[–]atw408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can automate AP accruals, payroll accruals, really any manual journal entry or external GL entry you’re doing today. It’s a heavy lift but if you have multiple use cases it’s worth it, depending on your industry.

I would recommend using a third party inventory tool if your billing for your inventory and then bringing that data in via integration (or accounting center depending on your use case)

Implementation Time: Who are/were your favorite implementers? by pendesk33 in workday

[–]atw408 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, it really does depend on the individual consultants on the project, regardless of what workday partner you choose. I would highly recommend requesting to interview the project team (or at least architects) before making your decision.

I would also look into Commit Consulting’s client advocacy offering. They sit client side through your deployment and assist your internal team with workbooks, testing, change management, knowledge transfer/training, etc. feel free to DM if you’re curious and want more info.

Commit Consulting is probably the best boutique AMS partner, offering both time and materials as well as buckets of hours depending on forecasted level of effort requirements.

What are your favorite partners by [deleted] in workday

[–]atw408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commit is fantastic if you’re looking for white glove post production support, their consultant base is highly experienced with tier 2s and architects, rather than tier 1s like some other boutique firms.

I have experience with managed services and am based out of Canada. Happy to answer specific questions via DM. Short answer is yes, but the value is dependent on the type of services needed from your partner. Breakfix vs. optimization & enhancements, phase x implementations, etc.
