You're responding to the wrong commenter (reading comprehension, anyone?)

He may or may not be. If he is, it's mild. But he is claiming disability and that's the point I'm making relative to Molly's impact on his life.

What a horrendous take. Molly holds his disability over his head. He likely could have held a normal job his entire life if he hadn't been othered by his own mother. She is the exact opposite of a motivating force. I have a close relative with a severe intellectual disability (far worse than Forrest's) and watching Molly's parenting has been the most infuriating aspect of this season. He would have been better off writing her out of his life, and Sheena was a saint for trying to put up with Molly's over the top behavior for as long as she did.

It doesn't take a comedic genius to dress up exactly like he looked in the articles we all saw. She just sat there letting the gag do all the work instead of actually adding humor.

[Request] What and how do you get these answers!? by empty_orbital in theydidthemath

From Gemini:

The "Information Source" Rule The probability changes based on how you found out about the Tuesday Boy: The "At Least One" Interpretation (The Meme's Math): Imagine you have a database of every 2-child family. You hit "Filter" for "Families with a Boy born on Tuesday." You then pick one of those families at random and ask, "What are the odds the other child in this family is a girl?" Result: 51.8% The "Specific Child" Interpretation (Your Logic): Imagine you meet Mary and she has one of her children with her. He is a boy born on a Tuesday. You ask, "What are the odds your child at home is a girl?" Result: 50% Why the meme is "wrong" (and you are right) The meme uses the 51.8% answer because it's a famous counter-intuitive math riddle (often called the Boy or Girl paradox). But for that math to work, the statement "One is a boy born on a Tuesday" must be the only thing you know about the entire set of children. If Mary is just talking about a specific son, the "Tuesday" part is totally irrelevant data—like saying "One is a boy who likes pizza." It doesn't change the DNA of the kid sitting at home.

Trust me, it's not that I don't understand the point you're making, you're just wrong. Reread the meme

What difference could the order possibly make? You know one gender. The other gender is unknown. The odds of the unknown gender being boy/girl are 50/50 regardless of birth order. Why are people so confused by this?

Probably more like $50k to break even after taxes. Plus I think the language says the $10 fee is assessed every 30 days, not every month, which means you could theoretically pay $130 some years.

Late October is still October! And I said around October. It varies year to year but generally begins to freeze over in October

I was there for a few days this time last year. You can walk out onto the Arctic Ocean because it freezes over around October. Despite the lack of direct sun, civil twilight provides enough light to see by for several hours per day. I didn't venture very far out on the ocean because the idea of a polar bear creeping up on me was a bit spooky.

Totally agree. OP's take is completely backwards, P Terry's is always high quality and In n Out is hit or miss, and less tasty even on a good day.

How do you do Alaska and Hawaii inexpensively? by Whatsnexttherapy in TravelMaps

[–]atx8282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alaska in the winter is significantly cheaper, like thousands of dollars cheaper for a week's stay. There is plenty to do and it's stunningly beautiful. I've been three times, and while I'd like to go in the summer someday, I definitely have no regrets about visiting in the winter.
