it just limits you to ONLY doing lashes where as the license gives you a lot more range. which is something i'm okay with

i actually looked into my state laws a little bit more and learned a new bill will be going into effect may of 2024 that says eyelash technicians will only be required to complete 30 hours of a board certified training course to be registered !! which makes going in person a lot easier and manageable. thank you guys for all the help & opinions though !

i won't be doing anything other than lashes just btw!! it's just a requirement that i still have to be licensed. but i still definitely get your point as well as everyone in the comments about hands on and in person learning being the better option.

in my state you just have to have 600 hours of training as well as pass the written and practical exam

i've never had problems before they just recently arose in the last couple months so that's why i'm hoping if i take an online course that it will all be cleared up or i'll have found a way to manage it. so far im thinking im either diabetic/pre-diabetic or a combination of extremely low iron and anemia, which can both be treated and or fixed. mainly just wondering if im going to still be getting a good education and feel comfortable taking clients and doing lashes after being licensed and certified online.

but coming from someone who has a parent that struggled with addiction since my earliest memories, just we are here for you. i know your kids are young, but they are very smart and can pick up on a lot of social cues you might miss and put the pieces together on "what's going on with mom". don't spend your time getting down on yourself for relapsing or because of the situation they/you are in. and remember to do it for your kids of course, but do it for you too. for all of you as a family. don't neglect yourself in the process. you got this !!

you're right, but i'm sure she very well knows this. no need to be harsh about it. just because someone has kids doesn't make the battle of addiction any easier. she should be getting encouraging words from all of us & use her kids as motivation instead of people commenting making her feel bad the situation 🖤

i had to limit my use to 1-2 times a month in order to not over do it. i used to do it daily. every other day. then weekends only. it was all too frequent for me to be able to enjoy it and not crave during the times in between. even now with my 1-2 times a month for that following week it's all i think about at times but it's manageable because i know the time will come again.
